Had 4 hours of regular, stop-you-in-your-tracks contractions overnight, started 8 mins apart, reduced to 5 min intervals then eased off and we crashed out! Little of note has happened since.
Interested to hear whether others have had anything similar happen :)

I had something similar. Having had a sweep & lost my plug the following day I had 3 or 4 hours of (what I thought) were fairly strong contractions not as bad as I thought but then I thought that was because I must've had a high pain threshhold (or so I thought). They were 3 or 4 mins apart so I went in only to be told that I was ONLY 3 cm's so not in established labour so send home. That evening the contractions got more intense but longer apart till they stopped. Then at 11pm my water broke, I phoned the hospital & they said to go in & get checked out but I expected to be home within the hour. All of sudden they ramped up & I had my daughter at 4am.
I really hope they start again for you shortly. Keep active, have you got a ball to bounce on? If you can go for a walk tomorrow. Fingers crossed you've not much longer to wait x

You didn't have a huge gap between the 'shifts' then blackkat? Nice to know!
I've been for a walk this evening, will try again tomorrow, and am bouncing on my ball now. Hubby is asleep on his side of the bed, dog is sleeping on my side and I'm watching TV, bouncing, bouncing, bouncing. :)

No not long for me. I never had any BH so it was straight in for me. Really hoping the bouncing helps x

I started getting contractions on the evening of the 24th May and they continued on and off until I was induced at half 6 on the 28th when they actually started to do something! Try and stay relaxed. I did find that when the husband started stressing me out, my contractions fizzled out. Have a bath and try to rest would be my advice!

Yes! On L's due date (28/12/12), I had about 3 hours of contractions that were 10 mins apart and then stopped. I had nothing more until the morning of 31/12/12 where I had another 3 hours of contractions, 8-10 mins apart, but they stopped as well. That afternoon, about 3pm, they kicked off again and this time, they lasted all they way through till L was born on 1/1/14, though they did tail off a bit at 8pm. Fingers crossed things kick off for you soon x

How frustrating Counter. I'm stood by my phone though because I'm sure it'll start properly soon xx
