P (15 months) will eat ANYTHING and by anything i meat every type of meat, fish (including prawns and muscles), all fruit and veg (including olives!). Literally anything. Except eggs.
Now i don't eat eggs by themselves, i hate them. I'll eat them cooked in something, like a quiche or similar but never by themselves in any form. Even an omelette with other stuff in. H does though and has several times done them for P but she spits them out. Tonight i did her a hard boiled one with her tea, she shoved it in like she does will all food and then promtly spat it everywhere. She carefully picked up the other pieces and put them on the floor, incase i wasn't clear on her opinion!!
So do your LOs eat them? If so how do you cook them? I'd like her to eat them as they are healthy and useful for teas etc but i won't push it as she eats anything/everything else.

D loves eggs hardboiled. But only hardboiled. Ate 2 for tea last night. If P is getting protein from other sources I wouldn't worry too much. Sounds like she's doing ok x
A loves scrambled eggs, and I'd describe him as a fussy eater. He didn't like it until well after a year though.

Disco likes eggs (I don't like like you AR I only like them in quiche, cake etc basically cooked with other stuff). That said disco got used to them in stages he eats scrambled eggs but only with cheese and I noticed the first time he had hard boiled egg he ate the white in preference in to yolk. maybe try her with a cheese omelet to start with as less eggy

Thanks ladies. Seems like others are picky about types of egg they like then. I Will get H to make her a cheesy omelette (i've no idea how you'd do that!!), cheese is possibly her favourite food so that might work well.

N likes scrambled egg and omelette. I gave him a hard boiled egg once and it got thrown on the floor. He loves quiche and cake! He doesn't like fried egg either. I wouldn't worry too much, there's always something we don't like.

S used to love scrambled eggs that I'd grate a bit of cheese into and chop a bit of tomato into too. He's gone off eggs lately though!

Nope, neither of mine will eat them in any form! Even French toast is refused

Isobelle eats eggs (although there are days when she doesn't), the only thing she really won't eat at the mo is lettuce!

Nope. Always point blank refused. Big A will just about tolerate a dippy egg but will only eat the yolk. Maybe its the texture? Mind you I am a bit funny about eggs - will only tolerate yolks really and the thought of scrambled egg makes me feel queasy.

Yes (obviously ) today he even had a bit of veal burger stuffed with a quails egg
Scrambled is his favourite with smoked salmon and he likes mushroom omelette too o he likes boiled egg and soldiers too. He's never had fried egg.

F likes scrambled egg either plan or with some chopped ham or grated cheese mixed in (think I got the idea from the BLW cookbook).

Mine both love them. Hard boiled, soft boiled, scrambled, poached, omlettes etc. They both eat most things tbh. Dustbins like their dad.

Mine love eggs, which ever way they come.
Frittata is a big hit in our house. Have you tried giving her a boiled egg in a funky egg cup??? Worked with my friends son.
Will she eat them cooked in with stuff, like french toast???

LO will eat omelette but if I give her a hard boiled egg, she will only eat the yolk!
10/06/2013 at 11:15
N loves fried eggs and egg soldiers, omelette and sometimes scrambled egg. He will not, however, eat 'sick egg' which is *obviously* hard boiled egg.

O would never eat eggs until he was about 3!! M likes scrambled egg and has given hard boiled a try but isn't too keen. I'm quite funny about egg too and can go months without eating egg (other then cooked in something).

J has only had omelet and scrambled so far but lives them- to be honest he's a total food monster and whatever is put in front of him be it food or not he'll give it a go (he tried to each a cork this morning)

Sounds like it's a mixed bag then. It's only odd really as she will eat ANYTHING! Will try again every so often and see.

I will eat the yolk, but not the white, she doesnt appear to like the texture of it.
