We always close the curtains in I's room for naps. H started doing it ages ago when she wasn't settling. She of course now only settles in a cot with the curtains drawn so never naps out and about apart from in the car.
Do you stick them in their cot and close the curtains or leave them open?

I think we used to make the room dark but then gave up on that as he'd nap anywhere if he was tired enough!

Yep, blacked out room, its like a bat cave! Have done from when I began to introduce the routine - he struggles to sleep anywhere else too but I really can't complain as he's a fab sleeper and self settles.
Nope- J naps in the front room often with the TV/washing machine/ me washing up/ tidying/generally faffing around him

Yep, like la (again!) E naps in the living room with all sorts going on around her, including this week, men drilling in the wall next to her head! x

N doesn't nap anymore but when he did it would be in a dark room yes, unless of course it was in the car.
Now he will only nap if poorly which tends to mean he's likely to sleep anywhere regardless of the light - for example today he fell asleep on the seat next to me in a booth at a restaurant!

Tate would only nap in his cot in the dark which was a pain so I didn't want the same to happen with Rafferty. He's not a good napper generally but he sleeps in his pram in the living room usually. Flynn would sleep anywhere which was fab!

Yep, Darkened room here.
He rarely naps when we're out, unless he is ill.

F only has one nap a day now which we're usually at home for. I usually tilt the blinds but leave the curtains open so it's not completely dark. It's very rare that he falls asleep anywhere other than his cot or the car if it's a long journey.

If he's in his room I draw the curtains, but he doesn't have blackout blinds so its not completely dark but more often than not he sleeps downstairs in his pram

We draw the curtains for Isla's daytime nap but they're cream so it's not pitch black. We only use her blackout blind at night.

E naps in his pram in the hallway, won't nap in the cot in the day x
