Isobelle has the chicken pox & is a bit grumpy so I've been letting her watch a lot more Peppa Pig on tv then usual. Usually she only watches it whilst I'm getting dinner ready. I'm also being more lenient & carrying her up & down the stairs & letting her walk around with snacks. tbh part of this is that I've also got a lot of school work to do as I have reports to write which I haven't done much on as Ofsted decided to drop in on us.
Is this something that others do?

oh yes :)

I just wish I hadn't gone back to breast feeding her so much as now she doesn't want to nap without a feed :-(

We just do what we need to in order to get through the day when N is poorly. Totally normal!

When L is ill he lies on the couch and watches tv all day as tbh he just has no energy. I found L and I bf more when poorly but reverted back to how they were before hand when they were better.

Oh yes. E has an ear infection and a virus at the moment. She's been having naps on my knee (and H's today) and in our bed at night. She's loving it I suspect!
To be honest, when they're ill they just want lots of reassurance and hopefully things will be back to normal once they're better. Pick your battles.

Yes definitely. Cbeebies goes on and sometimes we spend the day in our pjs.

it's gonna be the feeding to sleep that's gonna be the hardest habit to crack again after she's better again (although it is the easiest time to put the calomine on the spots on her face without her rubbing it all off!)

I definitely do things differently when she's poorly - I know what I'm like when I'm poorly and feel sorry for myself so I assume she feels the same x

Yep, definitely do things differently here. She sleeps on me or in our bed, eats and drinks whatever she wants and where she wants and has full control of the TV, not that that's much of a change anyway.

yes, definitely. sleeps in our bed or I sleep in their room, more TV, don't get out of PJs unless have to pick up the other one from school. just sit & veg, there's nothing else you can do really! my LO was still BF when she had chicken pox, and fed loads when she was ill but it calmed down once she felt better.

Oh yes definitely, but I do try to tell E (3 year old) that its because she's not feeling well so that she knows its a special treat and not going to be the norm. I doubt she pays any attention, but it makes me feel better about giving in so much.
