Been trying to have a look around at car seats and then suitable prams, I've come across a Jane pram, the thing that attracted me is the matrix car seat can be fitted in a lie flat position, so can be used as a carrycot directly on the pram or the baby can travel flat in the car (H's family live 500 miles away so we will have a few long journeys doing any visiting and I was already a bit concerned about the time restrictions in the car seat.
Does anyone have a Jane pram? It's not a name I recognise from on here! Or anyone have any experience or consider one?

They are a very well respected brand, were one of the first modern style prams and were all the rage about 5 yrs ago when we were buying for Zoe. They were a bit slow in moving to parent facing designs so think they dropped a bit in the market. We have a Concord pram and have been very impressed with the quality, Concord and Jane are one and the same.
However I would not buy based on the lie flat carseat as they do not do well in safety reviews. Our carrycot (Concord Proton) can actually be used in the car. The reality is that when a baby is under 6 mths, ie the time they are going to be using the lie flat aspect, you are going to need to stop for feeding & nappy changing anyway, and if as a one off occasionally they are in for 3 hrs instead of 2 I would prefer that risk than of using a less safe carseat.

We have one and I love it. We chose it for the off road aspect as we walk alot off road with dog. it is quite heavy getting it in and out of the car but suits us. We got the strata car seat instead of the matrix cup.

I've got a strata seat (new) and a powertwin pro as double (2nd hand). Obviously not road tested either yet, but they seem to be solid in construction and the pushchair will be good come Autumn/Winter when my son is probably less inclined to actually walk anywhere (ie rain or very cold/ windy).

Thanks you ladies, JB there is a new seat, the matrix 2 I think it is, it's improved safety features for lie flat and also has isofix now so I've seen some good reviews. It's nice to head some good reviews about the pram, I'll have a look at the concord.
Daisy I do alot of walking with the dog so want something I can take with me! I've seen alot on line that look more for city/pavement use.
Thanks, I'll add it to my possibility list!
