Hi all. I am five weeks pregnant but i don't feel pregnant. Other than the fact that I'm late for my period and that I've had mild stomach cramps (which really just feel like persistant period pain) I just don't feel like I am pregnant. I've taken two tests four days apart and they both showed up positive so I'm certain that I am. I guess I'm just having trouble believing it! Did anyone else feel this way? How long did it take before you truely believed you were having a baby?

5 weeks i still very early and as far as i know most women dont experience symptoms until 6 or 7 weeks. i didnt with my first until i was nearly 7 weeks although it was earlier this time. there are also things that arent as commonly discussed such as increased cervical mucus or bloating. you may be lucky and not get any nausea or tiredness, doesnt mean the baby isnt healthy. im 9 weeks now and i soooo cant wait for all the yuckiness to pass!

re the scan, theres nothing to see at 5 weeks. early scans are usually done around 8 weeks when you can see a heartbeat. i had one at 7+4 and it was really lovely to see our bean.

Turns out there is a clinic in my town that does 7 week scans for only £60 so I might book myself an appointment. I'll try and hold out for my 12 week scan if possible but I'm fretting even more today because I haven't had a single stomach cramp. Perhaps I'll feel better after my 8 week appointment with the midwife. She'll be running blood tests then which I'm sure will provide at least some assurance that I'm pregnant! lol.

Yea I felt like that...dont wory it sounded exactly the same as mine, then i had the same feeling when I got to 12 weeks plus, for a few weeks I did not feel pregnant. I was craving symptoms lol as I was so excited about it all but trust me, enjoy it as later you will get tired and a little fed up. I'm 27 weeks and already had enough of the tiredness and heavyness xx

Its nice to know its not just me . I'm six weeks today and its slowly becoming a little more real. Still no nausea or sickness (which im grateful for) but these last few days my boobs have been so sore. The cramping has mostly subsided too. Perhaps I'll just be one of the lucky few that doesn't suffer through anything too bad ....or maybe I've just jinxed myself and all hell will break loose soon. We'll see!!
