Royal baby is on it's way it would seem! Bill Turnbull on the bbc really annoys me. She's in the early stages apparently and he's talking about baby arriving any hour now. He is so ignorant to how labour and childbirth works!
I do hope for her sake it's not a long labour! anyone want to hazzard a last minute guess of the flavour? I'm thinking Girl!

I am disproportionately excited about this
William's office didn't ACTUALLY say she's in labour, said she had travelled to the hospital, that's all.

I'm excited for them, but the news coverage annoys me a bit. Why do we need to know she's in natural labour?
22/07/2013 at 08:08
Lovely. Hope all goes well.

Rkb we 'need' to know because its a future king/queen so sadly every single thing will be updated. Previously with heirs to the throne someone else is there to witness the birth too but not sure it will happen this time.

Very exciting!! I think a girl too! Speedy labour vibes for Kate!

I don't think they know she's in "natural" labour. Pure speculation, like the due date if you ask me.
22/07/2013 at 08:30
CP I didn't know that? Did it have to be someone in particular? I hope it's not some random old man or something! Hopefully these days, the doctor can 'verify' the birth!
They said on the radio just 15mins ago that an official statement from the palace was that Kate had been taken to hospital this morning in a car in early labour so I think they must have confirmed it. I'm excited for them, I'm looking forward to finding out if its a little prince or princess!

That's what irritates me about the media Hollywood! I'm sending speedy labour vibes as well as easy birth vibes too!
22/07/2013 at 08:34
Doesn't say early labour:
"The Duchess travelled by car from Kensington Palace to the Lindo Wing at St Mary's Hospital with The Duke of Cambridge," Kensington Palace said in a statement.
That was it.
22/07/2013 at 08:43
Beg your pardon, Nicholas Witchell said "early labour" about 900 times so maybe it was in the statement.
22/07/2013 at 08:45
There's a slightly differently worded release on The British Monarchy's Facebook page: "Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge has been admitted to St. Mary’s Hospital, Paddington, London in the early stages of labour."
I feel for poor Kate, I hope that she went in via a side entrance. The press have been camped outside the front for a month.
22/07/2013 at 08:48
I've not read it anywhere, it's what they read out on the news. They also said the couples spokesman said 'things were progressing normally' or something like that so sounded like it had been confirmed, either that or they're just making things up!!
22/07/2013 at 08:57
I am ridiculously excited about this as well!

Back entrance, 6am. Spotted by a photographer who obviously didn't get the shot or it would be plastered everywhere!
22/07/2013 at 09:21
I feel for her, I didn't want anyone to know I was in labour until after it was all over, she has the world media speculating on how far along she is!
22/07/2013 at 09:38
I really hope its all nice and straightforward for her. She seems really lovely. They will make great parents i think.
22/07/2013 at 09:42
I am excited too! and for them being first time parents :)
22/07/2013 at 09:44
I agree MM! I hope it's all straight forward for them! I can see them being amazing tentative parents .(i.e. Not relying on someone else to raise their baby)
