I know everybody is different but a general feel for the average would be pretty handy...
I ovulated Monday 8th Aprl so due on Monday 22nd - since Saturday 13th I've been feeling really hot, as in flushed in the face, cracking a sweat hot (and yesterday my temp read 36.9 and i'm normally 36.3-36.4), over tired and just generally off. Last night i felt quite weak and faint as well. As i was on the pill for so long (10 years) I dont really know what PMT is anymore, I never expereienced it on the pill, just cramps during, nothing before. Is this most likely PMT and I'm just not in tune to it or could this be something?

To be honest there is no way of knowing, some people get all sorts of what they think are symptoms and get a BFN, then on the month they feel no different at all they a BFP! Also, you dont really feel much different until you are probably 5-6 weeks. My boobs started to grow at about 5 weeks then I felt nauseous from about 7 weeks.
The best thing to do is wait until you are due then test, and please try not to wind yourself up about it in the the meantime, you may be trying for severable months and its not good to be over-thinking things all the time. x
It's hard to tell, it could even be you're working up to a cold/illness, though hopefully not.
With my first I had period like symptoms, was convinced we hadnt done it that cycle. Even got a BFN, then had some spotting that never came to anything so I tested again on CD32 and got my BNP.
With number 2, I had SPD type pain, aching down below, pains in my legs. I knew without even testing. So much so though I didn't test until I was 6-7 weeks!

We weren't actually trying to get pregnant which i think is also adding to the suspense.
I got taken off the pill and we thought we would family plan to avoid pregnancy - I ovulated on CD26 which we didnt think was possible as we thought I would have a 28 day cycle and after 25 days of no action i think we were a little desperate and were conviinving eachother it was impossible but I ovulated the day after.
We've spoken about it, and although its a year faster then we would like its not the end of the world. Now that the scare, if you will, has happened, for me its not that scary so now I'm just really curious which way its going to go. The only reason why I decided to post something was because OH mentioned to me this morning that I've been complaining a lot recently about bad lower back and being a general grumpy and he was wondering if it could be... Put the thought in my head which is now gonna make the next 5 days drag

Everyone is different, are you checking your basal body temperature ie the temp as soon as you wake up or did you just check your temp as you felt flushed? If you just randomly checked it then that's not really significant at all but if you have been doing your bbt daily then a jump if 0.5 would just signify post ovulation if it was consistently more than 0.2 degrees higher so likely not significant given its a one off temp.
With all 5 pregnancies I actually didnt have any symptoms. With #2 I was sooooo tired the day before I tested but I just thought it was because I had a toddler. There were cycles where I would have bet my house I was pregnant and I wasn't and all 5 bfps I fully expected af. If you ovulated on 8th you are 9ish dpo so an early test might pick up in a day or so (although isaacs bfp showed at 9dpo )

i am doing the BBT, i was plodding along at 36.3-36.4 and then CD23 dipped to 35.7 and CD24 went up to 36.6 so i thought that was ovulation but strips said no on CD23, 24 & 25 so thats why we had sex on CD25 and then ovulated on CD26. I only took a test cos it was the last in the box and I wanted to bin it otherwise would have been clueless. Since then I've been the same 36.3-36.4 but since saturday its been 36.6-36.7 and then yesterday went up to 36.9, today was back to 36.6 - i just dont know if your temp is supposed to go up at the end when you're due on or not? think more googling is needed - this whole ovulation thing is rather complex really lol

Dont forget sperm can live for up to 5 days, so if your using your cycles as contraception you shouldnt have sex 5 days before you think you'll ovulate. The egg only lives 12-24 hours so after is not such a worry, but the sperm lies in wait for the egg as it were!

I know, its a bugger, thats why we didnt have sex all month, we wanted to wait till after I ovulated as we're "tracking" for the first 3 months to see if it always happens on the same CD. if the next 2 months show its CD26 then we'll stop having sex CD19-CD28 - should then be safe

Sounds like a headache, is there some reason you cant use another method,e.g. condoms?

i did think it would be easier than this. Without being graphic, i have a latex allergy and even non latex ones dont have a good outcome. We did look into the diaphragm but its not got a good success rate. I have to say, since being off the pill i feel way better. I was really moody on the pill so i'm quite enjoying being normal. OH has said he would rather I was off the pill and be celebate than have me on it.
I think once we have this one cycle done it will be a lot easier cos I'll understand the temperatures more and what the norm is for my body - google did have the answer as it happens, your temp stays up until it dips the day before your period - everydays a school day
