Congrats sparkles! In the first few weeks I was bloated and uncomfortable the whole time, I had blood when I wiped for a day, It suddenly changed at about 8 weeks and the bloating went down- out bodies have some odd changes in this time. My 5 month old is now soundly asleep upstairs. It's very hard to stop yourself worrying during this time and I could tell you to try not too etc but I found I just started worrying about other things as time went on lol! Here's to a happy and healthy 8 months xx

Hi, my friend bled from 5-7 weeks, and had an early scan for reassurance. If you are worried, you can have a scan from 6 weeks and tbh I would recommend it. I had a mc at7 weeks last time, so this time wanted to know asap if it was likely to be a viable pregnancy. From what I hear though, most early bleeds resolve themselves. My problem this time was severe cramping and I thought I was going to mc again, but another scan showed it was nothing relevant.

I think we might be roughly at the same stage Sparkles? I had some really light brown spotting about a week ago which I thought was the start of AF but it now looks like it was implantation bleeding. Has yours been pinky/brown? Bleeding in early pregnancy can be fairly common so try not to worry too much. If it gets any worse and/or you have any pains, get checked out x

Sparkles - wonderful news!!! Congratulations!!
Bleeding seems common in early pregnancy - it would do no harm to get checked out, let your doc know straight away so he can start referring you to midwife etc.

Hi everyone thanks for the reassurance! The dr i seen at the emergency care unit yesterday was really nice and is pushing for an early scan he's told them i'm 6 weeks rather than 5 and a half in the hope that they will see me sooner i should be getting a phone call today. If they say in a couple of weeks i might look into a private scan. I've calmed down a bit knowing its quite common but i'm such a worrier anyway and with it being my first pregnancy i haven't known what to expect. I think i'm over reacting as well because a friend recently miscarried so i think its in the back of my mind! I'm due 3 days before my 30th birthday so i keep talking to baby saying i hope they'll be my birthday present :)
Yes weather girl it was brownish/pink on thursday but i didn't know i was pregnant so thought it was my period but then it stopped and came back sat pm and has been pinky for last 3 days, its kind of like the last day of my period but a bit lighter

Congratulations! I had some brown spotting a couple of weeks ago, which turned out to be nothing. Glad they are trying to get you in for an early scan though xxx

I had some bleeding and almost constant spotting in my 1st pregnancy from 5 weeks all the way through to 11 weeks - it is very worrying, and the doctors just told me it was normal implantation bleeding, although I did eventually get a scan at 8 weeks as I was getting so upset about it as it just wasn't stopping. Fortunately everything was ok and it ended up being unexplained. I'm glad to say I haven't had any this time.
Hope you manage to get an early scan and it also ends up being just one of those things. xx

I'm hoping its just one of those things i'm sure it will be! I' so pleased it turned out to be well for you DeeDee. I hope this doesn't sound bad but i have felt a bit of relief knowing it happens to others but great that it seems to turn out great and nothing to worry about. I think if they won't give me a scan this early i'll push for one at 8 weeks to be sure. Would you then get another at 12 weeks? Its so exciting yet so scary. I can't wait to have a bump i don't like not being able to feel or see the baby and not knowing whats going on inside x

Congrats on your bfp :) I had bleeding at 5+6 and had an early scan but it was a bit too soon to see a hb so had another at 7+4 and everything was fine. You will still have a scan at 12 weeks to check the nuchal fold (i think that's what it's called) even if you have an early scan. Hope you have a lovely smooth pregnancy, try to relax - I know it's hard xxx

Glad it's helping you to feel better.
Last time for me was over 5 years ago before they did the Nuchal scan on the NHS, and because I was then 8 weeks they said I wouldn't get the 12 week one since it was just to date the pregnancy which they felt at 8 weeks was good enough - although I did end up paying private for the Nuchal scan at 12 weeks anyway. I think now you'd still get the 12 week one so they can do the nuchal fold measurements etc. I'm a bit scared about what's going on this time actually and have been thinking of getting an early scan this time, although I've only about 3 weeks to go hopefully (waiting for scan date to come through). Although feeling sick and tired all the time is getting on my nerves (and has put me in the worst mood today!!), it is a bit reassuring having the symptoms I guess xx

I had pink bleeding followed by brown spotting at 8 and 10 weeks. Everything was fine though.
Hoping it's just 'one of those things' for you too. Congrats on your bfp x

I didn't get a phone call so rang the doctors at 4pm and they rang the emergency care unit for me. The receptionist said they said they told me yesterday it was too soon because there may not be a heartbeat at this stage anyway. I was so annoyed i know that but was told they'd ting me anyway to look at booking me in as soon as they could and at least if i knew i had an appointment soon in might help me relax a bit, i mean i'll be 7 weeks next thursday. Luckily the receptionist was really nice and has made me a gp appointment tomorrow and said if i explain and ask her to refer me she likely will do. Fancy making me wait all day and not bothering to call and tell me x
