i have an early reassurance scan on Friday at EPU. I will be 6+6 by lmp but 6+4 by ovulation (i think) I am sure I implanted early as I got my bfp at 9dpo.
i am hoping to see a Hb. That's all I need for now I think. Is it likely that we will see it? When did you have early scans and what did you see?

Mine was at 6+2 and we saw a heartbeat. Could clearly see the gestational sac and fetal pole. One thing I will say is that we have seen the scanning equipment at the private clinic is far more detailed and a better resolution than that which our NHS hospital uses, so I'm not sure we'd have seen as much that early on an NHS early scan.

I had one at 5+6 and couldn't see a heartbeat so had another at 7+4 and there was a clear heartbeat. I think at 6 and a half weeks you should see one as they thought there was a glimmer of one at my first scan but couldn't be totally sure.
I am keeping everything crossed for you Rod xxxxxx

I had mine yesterday at 7 + 1 and baby was easy to see.

I had one at. 7+2 at an nhs hospital and saw a hb. It wasn't any less clear than thr private scan I had in the previous pregnancy.
I think you'll see a hb at your state Rodney.
Sending tonnes of vibes still.xx

Yes the HB starts in the 6th week of pregnancy (5 weeks +) so by 6 weeks + you should be able to see a flicker.

I had a scan at 7+4 which I know is later than yours but I could see a clear baby and heartbeat. However I have seen images of NHS scans at 6/7 weeks and they are alot blurrier so don't be too disheartened if you can't see much x
Thank you everyone. I'm terrified.

In my last pregnancy at 5+1 only the sac and fetal pole was present and at 6+1 the heartbeat was there. This time at 5+1 nothing could be seen and at 6+5 by my dates a heartbeat was seen but scan dated me 6 or 6+1. Really hoping you get very good news on Friday x

At 7+0 we saw everything we needed at that stage. Huge vibes for your scan x

Abdominal ultrasound at EPU at 6+6 and she found the heartbeat in seconds. I thought it would need to be internal at that stage so was pleasantly surprised.

my early scan was at 6+6 abdominally and the hb was seen. Baby was just a blob on the screen but everything present at that time.
Best of luck to you. No use in saying don't worry xxxx

I had one at 7 weeks & seen the sac & heartbeat. Ended up being an internal though but it was fine so don't worry if they suggest that to you.
It was a wonderful day seeing baby on screen for the first!
All the luck & vibes in the works for you xx

I am expecting an internal one, all the other's have been, as its at EPU not the usual scanning bit.
Thanks guys. Just 4 sleeps....well, I say sleeps....4 nights of going to bed early cos i'm shattered, then waking up at 5am and thinking about it.....!

Hi Rod - I have had early scans with all my pregnancies. With M at 5 weeks, no heartbeat, then at 7 with a heartbeat and then with this baby at 7 weeks with heartbeat. all have been done by my consultant at the EPU and have been internal scans as you have said. Good luck - have everything crossed for you!
