sorry didnt get chance to post yesterday as was busy out with H for the day. Have my sweep today but don't have a time so got to wait in until the midwife arrives. Had lots of back ache and tightenings last night so fingers crossed this does the job!
Hope you you all have something nice planned :)

hey Bertie, very best of luck with your sweep today. Hope its done early this morning to let you get on. I have everything crossed for you.
AFM - my holiday was fab but I've felt pretty rotten since it. I think chilling out doesn't seem to agree with me. I'm finding it really hard to get going again since I came back but at least I'm not back to work until Tuesday. We started painting the spare room yesterday so I'm hoping that it will only need 1 more coat which I'll do today then get the room rearranged and the changing table built..
Pregnancy wise, I'm feeling much more movement from Baby CA although I'm still having days where I feel hardly anything at all then other days its practically constant. Not sure if this is normal or not???
Happy Easter everyone, hope you have nice plans for the weekend xxxx
19/04/2014 at 09:14
I hope the sweep is successful and you get your Easter baby, Bertie!
CA, I've got that with movements too. It got me worried, though, so at 28 weeks I popped round to the hospital to be monitored. Turns out baby was moving, but nothing big, so I couldn't feel it. She's still pretty chill in there now, though running out of room so I feel the tiny movements a bit more. If you do get worried, they're always happy to monitor baby for a bit in hospital if you want to double check things are alright.
AFM, woke up to the sound of Wispa about to upchuck on the carpet in the hall and managed to get her downstairs before it happened. Rather an abrupt way to get up on a Saturday morning. She's fine, just ate something wonky in the woods yesterday most likely. Midwife at 10:15, nhs antenatal drop in class at 2 this afternoon, and friend over for dinner tonight. Big decision- cook fajitas or order Chinese take away? Hmmm...
19/04/2014 at 09:16
Bertie loads of good sweep vibes being sent yoor way. I hope this gets you going and you have an Easter baby!
CA I'm glad you had a lovely time away. It's good to have you back though. Sorry you're struggling to get going, although painting the room makes it sound like you're doing better than me!
I went to meet baby Jake yesterday, he was gorgeous. I had lots of cuddles with him and I didn't make him cry. I've got a pretty bad record with babies so this is a miracle! Today is a chilling day. A bit of washing and maybe some good shopping. Oh and plenty of time in the garden.
19/04/2014 at 09:18
Sorry I missed you Wispa.
I say Chinese. Less effort! ;)
Lizzy wakes me up that way sometimes, it's not pretty. It's better than getting up and standing in it though! Yuk! Good luck at the mw and antenatal.
19/04/2014 at 09:27
Bertie good luck,
Wispa - obviously chinese, no contest
Imp, glad you had a nice time with baby jake
Afm- I have to be seen every other day by the midwife now so I have a day of waiting for her, whilst all my best friends go into camden with my husband for a birthday celebration :-(
I also just realised, once counter, trifle and Bertie pop will that make me next??
19/04/2014 at 09:47
Ca I missed you there sorry, if you are ever worried about movements get yourself checked.
19/04/2014 at 11:49
Consensus seems to be Chinese, then :). Back from midwife, seems the reason I've been needing hour long naps every evening is because my iron levels are low. She very nearly have me iron tablets, but I promised to get back to taking those pregnacare vitamins and eat more red meat!
Imp, I'm glad you didn't make the baby cry! Enjoy your time in the garden.
Monnie, ugh, it's completely sucky that you have to have so much monitoring. Anything you can do at home to make the time more enjoyable? And yes. You'll be next! And not far off, either. You're due to be induced at 38 weeks, right? Have they mentioned the potential to induce at 37 weeks with your BP and protein levels? Either way, it's just about 3 weeks!!
19/04/2014 at 12:18
CA glad you had a lovely holiday. Hopefully you can ease back into normal life before work again. I did have some quiet days but worth getting it checked if your ever worried.
Wispa oh what a nice wake up call! Busy day today for you, hope midwife and antenatal goes ok. I love Mexican bit getting a take away will save cooking!
Imp baby cuddles sound great. As does a chilled day :) enjoy!
Monnie aw that sucks! Are you joining them after? I think it does mean you'll then be next!
Just had my sweep, she didn't do a bishops score or anything though so I don't really know if it's promising or not. If nothing happens I have midwife Tuesday and then will be induced end of the week! I hope she comes before then so baby out vibes to meeeee!
19/04/2014 at 12:42
Wispa- they have mentioned 37 weeks, I am seeing the consultant Wednesday so might have more info then. Today I am washing baby clothes!
Bertie- baby out vibes Hun , I can't join them because I couldn't manage all the trains and walking :-(
19/04/2014 at 17:03
Hey Bertie - how was sweep? Did it all go okay? Are you nicely - ahem - accessible? Hopefully it'll do the trick! If not, what day is induction day? Or will you have another sweep Tues? Are you feeling okay in yourself?
CA - glad holiday was lovely but I totally get it's hard to get back in to the swing of things after it. Regards movements, at your stage I'd have 2 or 3 or 4 busy days and then 1 super-quiet day. Almost as if baby was catching up on rest. I accepted that routine as our Normal so it never worried me, but they're lovely at daycare if you pop for monitoring any time you're unsettled :)
Wispa - poor Wispa-dog! Hope he's okay now. You have a busy day today but all sounds good stuff! You'll definitely benefit from additional iron, that's good if you can sort it and if not the tablets will kick in pretty quick if you wanted them. Maybe still have the odd nap? ;)
Imp - not sure where you are but hope you got good garden weather! It's lovely here. Good drying weather too, if washing is a must!
Monnie - that's so unfair, missing out! I'm having a mini-tantrum (including foot-stomping) on your behalf. Hope you're managing to have a nice productive day though and I have to say that washing baby's wardrobe was one of the nicer 'chores' needing to be done. Feels real doesn't it? All the wee clobber makes me broody!
I'm so sorry I haven't been joining in. Signal at the hospital is $hite and we've been up and down there daily and also I felt like I'd be the least supportive person to be on a third tri thread. My first 'false labour' start (regular contractions, getting closer, for 4+ hours) was 29th March. And there's been a variety of other 'promising signs'. So to have 2 failed inductions and still be here with no baby I just feel like a very negative and unhelpful 3rd-tri-er!
But am wishing Bertie and Trifle lots of vibes for nice, spontaneous, smooth arrivals :)
I'm back at hospital Monday to perhaps try a 3rd induction, and am going to ask for c-section Tuesday (40+17 by their dates) if nothing is happening, or if baby is a monster size. Hope you all are having a lovely long relaxing weekend xx
19/04/2014 at 17:11
Counter no need to apologise you are having a right old time of it! I don't blame you for feeling how you do. At least if u ask for a c section you know you'll def have baby with you next week. I hope that things change for you though and baby gets a wriggle on.
Sweep was ok, she didn't really go into detail but looking at my notes it seems my cervix has come round a bit and is softening. Have another Tuesday if this doesn't work. Then induction Thursday I think. We have comfy babies clearly.
19/04/2014 at 17:32
Bertie - that sounds grand then! Fingers crossed Tuesday will do the trick - if not before!!
19/04/2014 at 22:17
My first tri thread! Will do my best for the personals but apologise now if I miss anyone!!
Bertie - hope your sweep does the trick! Baby out vibes!
Candy Apple - We are in the throws of decorating too! I think you are a week ahead of me and my movements are the same, some days it doesn't seem to stop and other days are much quieter.
Imp - Wish I had a chilled weekend... far too much to do! Glad you had baby not crying success!
Monnie - Sorry you have to wait in for the MW... but better to be checked x
Counter - Hope you get some positive news soon!
AFM - Been very busy renovating the house (I am limited to painting!), we want to get our room and babies room done before they arrive. Just finished the bathroom (with the exception of the skirting boards which are drying!). Had 28 week growth scan last Monday, all growing to plan and a very active baby in there! Next one at 32 weeks. It's all coming round a bit quick now and I had a full on cry at Mr Kapowski this morning as I felt I was running out of time!
20/04/2014 at 07:21
Bertie- I hope the sweep has kicked something off for you, and that you get to meet baby soon.
CA, glad you had a good holiday, but sorry you're struggling to get back to normal. I think movement wise if the pattern is normal for you then not to worry too much, I have quieter days too, but if you're worried probably better to get checked, they won't mind at all.
Wispa, hope your Chinese was good! Make sure you eat plenty if iron rich foods and try to get those levels up.
Imp, yay for a successful baby meet without crying. Hope you enjoyed your chilled out day.
Monnie, sorry you've got to be checked so much, it sounds like such an ***, but it's worth it! Eep to being 4 on the list- I think I'm after you which is pretty scary too! Hope the baby clothes washing was good, it felt do real seeing all these teeny outfits hanging in the line when I did my first batch with J. Need to get sorted for Attila soon, am so behind.
Counter, I'm genuinely shocked you'ce not got a baby yet, come on Baxter, please stop giving mummy such a hard time. Still sending lots of Binet vibes that things happen for you before csec becomes necessary. And please feel you can rant here as much as you like lovely, you've every right at this stage!
Kapowski, welcome to the threads! Sounds like you're very busy at the moment, sorry you needed a cry on your H, hormones suck! It'll get sorted in time don't worry! Yay for all being well at the scan.
Afm, busy day bridesmaid dress shopping yesterday. Nothing purchased, not much success generally, but a couple that could be possibilities. I'm not sure where we go from here, the other bridesmaid is 4 hours away so we can't dress shop regularly. I'm going to not stress, I'll be there and wearing a dress, I'm sure it'll work out! Today we're heading to the deep in hull (big aquarium) with j and our visitors & their toddler, they'll love it I think, then I'm doing an waster egg hunt for them in the back garden this afternoon. It should be a nice day, hopefully with lots of sitting down as dress shopping yesterday was exhausting!
Hope everyone had a lovely chocolate filled day. Lots of baby out vibes to the overdue bench.

Welcome to the 3rd Tri thread Kapaowski :) glad the scan went well. House renovating sounds fun but tiring! Have you got much left to do? Oh we all need a little cry every now and then!
SG when is the wedding? I got my bridesmaid dresses two weeks before my wedding! Hope you find something soon. Your day sounds lovely, can I join? Lol.
Well so far nothing has happened from my sweep but they did say the 2nd is normally more successful so maybe Tuesdays will work. Had lots of pains last night in my pelvis etc and also getting shooting pains from sciata I think so had a little cry to H! Said I'm allowed to moan now as this is extra time lol. Baby has also turned back to back so I'm getting so much movement which kind of hurts! Sorry for the moan today.
On a brighter note it's Easter so I can stuff my face with chocolate :) off to FILs later for a big family meal. Hope you all have a lovely day.
20/04/2014 at 09:10
Kapowski - totally feel your pain on the house stuff. During pregnancy, because we hadn't long moved, we decorated (I shouldn't say 'we' really!!) 12 rooms, and it all got very stressful and I went a little bit loonytunes at times! It had to be done but it's a rubbish time to be worrying and feeling pressure. It's understandable to have a little cry! Or a big cry!! You'll get there and it'll be worth it :)
SG - loving your attitude! The dress sitch *will* be fine. It'll work out. Your day sounds lovely, especially if you can keep it on the gentle side and don't get too knackered.
Bertie - definitely have a cry. Extra time sucks. We didn't sign up for extra ha ha. And pelvic pains, sciatica, all that - so unfair! I've spent days walking around the hospital inside and out, at times with tears just running off me, everyone thinks it's lovely that I must be in labour and it's not that! It's just that bloody annoying pelvic back pain because I've a 10lb lump sitting at the back of my pelvis and it's not funny :) I might put a complaint in to Stork HQ on our behalf that they're running very behind these days and we'd like to speak to the Ops Director ;)

Happy Easter everyone xxx
Wispa - hope your appointments went well yesterday. What did you decide on for dinner in the end up???
Imp - hope you had a lovely chilled out day yesterday. Things always seem so much better when the sun is shining.
Monnie - hope you're ok today. Not long to go now!!!!
Bertie - loads of baby out vibes to you lovely xxx
Counter - I'm sending you lots of baby out vibes too xxx
Kapowski - welcome to the 3rd tri threads. Hope you get your own and the babies room decorated soon. You've got plenty of time still.
Spikey - you've got a lovely day planned by the sounds of it. V exciting to be bridesmaid dress shopping.
AFM - had some chocolate for breakfast. I finished the painting in the spare room yesterday so I'm putting it back together today. We built the changing table yesterday and I got all my bits and pieces onto the shelves so I'm super pleased with that. Makes me so happy to see it. I'm desperate to build the crib now but I think I should hold back on that one because its too early plus we've still got a lot of stuff to store in the spare room that we've to get rid of so it would just be something else cluttering up the place.
20/04/2014 at 11:45
Bertie, cry and moan, you're entitled to it! It would have been nice for them to give you a bishops score, at least to let you know whether or not to be hopeful!
Same goes for you, Counter. I hope Baxter comes soon, it's all getting a bit ridiculous for you. I'm shocked!
Welcome to the thread, Kapowski! :) I love house-sorting, I hope it's not getting you too knackered, though. As for running out of time, there will still be time to sort things out when the baby arrives. As long as you all have somewhere to sleep and a solid roof overhead it'll be ok!
SG, I love the aquarium! Have a wonderful time with J and I hope it's not as tiring as dress shopping yesterday.
CA, start on the crib! Do it! You know you want to . Well, it's your decision, but I know I was super impatient and had everything made by 28 weeks!
We opted for Chinese last night, and it was delicious. I made sure we had some red meat for iron, though I'm not sure how much difference it would have made. We watched a movie called the Place Beyond the Pines, and it wasn't quite what I expected and dragged on a bit towards the end. Today we're off for lunch at the in-laws for Easter and I'm hoping not to get too many "oh my god, you're massive" comments. Because I'm not quite!
