I posted in TTC and someone suggested posting here...I hope I don't upset anyone.
just wandered if anyone has been through this. I have been off here for a while now. Unfortunately my pregnancy turned out to be ectopic. just looking for some success stories. Feel so scared about trying again.

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss.
It's not my story but my sister in laws. Both me and her fell pregnant with exactly the same LMP and we're due the same date initially. However her pregnancy turned out to be ectopic, after initially they thought she'd miscarried through pain and bleeding. It went undiagnosed but my SIL continued to have positive pregnancy tests. It was when she would have been 10 weeks that she had to be operated on and as a result she lost one of her tubes.
They continue to try despite this and in June of this year had a beautiful little girl, nor a whiff of complication all pregnancy and birth (despite her first being delivered at 28 weeks she actually went overdue).
So it took about 4/5 months to concieve as she had always had very long erratic cycles (they tried for over 2 years for the baby they lost in the ectopic). So, a very positive story here in that despite everything, ectopic, long cycles, ectopic, losing a fallopian tube, and previous complications, my niece arrived. :)

So sorry to hear you're going through this. I know it isn't nice having been through it myself. I had my ectopic pregnancy in 2011 whilst on holiday in Skegness. I saw more of the hospitals than I did of the beach! But there is light at the end of the tunnel - I'm currently typing this whilst trying to entertain my 15 months old with my 6 week old in a sling! Hope you're ok. Sending big hugs x

I had a suspected ectopic that miscarried naturally at 7 weeks. I now have a nearly 1 year old upstairs having a nap, no problems with that pregnancy. Is it terrifying when you start trying again and first fall pregnant again, but it's much more likely all will be well with another pregnancy, than you'll have any problems. Best of luck to you xx

I had an ectopic pregnancy in June 2009 which resulted in me having to have my right fallopian tube removed, this ectopic followed 3 miscarriages and we were devastated to be told that due to me having PCOS and having a tube removed it would be highly unlikely for me to fall pregnant, but then in September 2010 we found out we were expecting and we had a reassurance scan at 6 weeks which showed everything was ok and even showed a little heartbeat. We are now the proud parents to a very active, content and happy little boy who is now 30 months old.
When we fell pregnant I was terrified and didn't do much for the first 10 or so weeks but gradually started to relax the further along the pregnancy we got.

Another success story from a girl who worked for me. She fell pregnant on her honeymoon, with what turned out to be an eptopic pregnancy. She had an operation to remove her right tube and quite remarkably fell pregnant with one tube the very next cycle! She now has a lovely baby Lola Hope, whose 1st birthday we are about to celebrate. She would say never give up hope xx

I have recently suffered with an ectopic pregnancy. We can't try for 3 months now, but I'm scared it is going to happen again. The chances of me having it again has gone from a 1 in 90 chance to a 1 in 10 chance. I really don't think I could go through this again! I really want a baby, but it is heart breaking.
