So the gaviscon is definately easing little mans pain but he still has symptoms and I'm all for trying a milk rather than medication to help him..just wondered snidget if the milk worked straight away for you and also was your little one suffering with silent reflux or was he sicking up feeds as everything I read about it refers to it stopping that rather than silent reflux...hope you don't mind me asking?

I'm not snidget but my LO is on it too. It should help both as it's heavy and thickens in the stomach so I would think would also stop acid coming back up. Both mine started it with ranitidine and domperidone so hard to say which helped but no1 had silent reflux and did well on that combo.

Hey! Ethan had silent reflux - I could count the number of pukes on one hand, but he was always in agony. I had to self diagnose, and then we were started on gaviscon, then double gaviscon, then ranitidine. They all worked a tiny bit for a few days. It was jelly baby I believe who suggested unfamiliar to me. I bought a tin over the counter (about £8 for a small tin iirc) - within about 2 feeds he was a different baby. My go had never heard of it, but was happy to prescribe.
As wh says it thickens in the stomach so stops the acid coming up. But you give it like normal milk so quite easy too.
Really hope you can get it x
