Anyone else get these in pregnancy? Been docs and opticians and they say eyes looking fine and just one of those things, bp etc fine. Think id feel better if i cud actually get a eye appt at hosp and have them check them properly but dont know how id get this and doc didnt mention i cud do so.
    Anyone else noticed them?xxx
Ps am extremely tired so guess that could be making it worse xxx

I often get these hun but are they not to do with little pieces of dirt that get caught up in your eyes?

Maybe it would do you good to get some refreshing drops as I use them every other day and they are lovely on my eyes x

Yeah get some drops hun, in all honesty opticians are very good at their jobs and often notice things that GPs and hospitals have missed when checking peoples eyes so if they have told you they look fine then I would be 99.9% sure that they are right x

Keep an eye (excuse the pun) on this as this was the first sighn I had of PE. I started getting these early on in pregnancy but I was told all was fine and it was around 35 weeks then they discovered I had PE they got me to the 38 weeks and induced me and had a very healthy girl.

I have these, and they're worse when I'm in a bright room. They're completely normal (unless they get dramatically worse) and more common in pregnancy so I'd not worry about it. xx

Hi, I've not heard of a link with these and pregnancy before but just wanted to say that I have had these before getting pregnant and my eyesight is still fine, so I dont think it is necesasrily anything to worry about. If you read about them online most sites will tell you they are nothing to worry about anyway.

I've had them for years and they don't bother me, opticians said it's fine and completely normal.

    Hi,

I am just writing a quick message to say that I work in an opticians, and I have floaters (always have had). Its basically dead cells in the fluid around the eye that cannot flake off like skin (sorry horrid thought!) its nothing to worry about, as the others have said. If you notice flashing lights or a waving net curtain effect across the eye then go to A&E, but the floaters are nothing to worry about.... I hope I havent made anyone worry about flashing lights now (can be visual migraines)..

Well I just read that back and its a total ramble but the content is there if it makes sense to anyone x hth slightly.

Just wanted to add that it's quite common to have changes in your eyes during pregnancy apparently. They say not to get any new glasses prescriptions whilst pregnant as it can alter your vision. xx

the optician's can detect all sorts of problems from high blood pressure to (not to scare anyone) cancer etc etc. If they dont think there is anything to worry about then I would try and ignore them. Its hard I know because you want to almost wipe them away as if something is in your eye and when you look at them they float away form your gaze so its very frustrating. Mine have joined and I have a question mark shaped one lol very annoying!! They do disappear after a while but you will be more prone to having them from now on, sorry to say.
