I say fall, what she actually did was throw herself off the top of the chest of draws we use as a change table. It's up to my waist, about 1m high.
I was stood next to her but reached down to one side to get a new nappy pack and she just flung herself off the edge. I managed to grab the top of her arm, not enough to hold her up but it did break the fall a bit. She sort of hit the front of the draws and slid down, knocking her chin on the edge and landing in a heap but at least it was feet first not head first. She was silent for a second and then screamed and screamed. I think more in shock than pain, although i might have pulled her arm quite hard where i grabbed it.
She seems fine 10 minutes later and i can't find any marks from hitting her face. Honestly toddlers are terrifying, i feel like my only role at the moment is to prevent serious harm coming to her!!!
I'll be having a large G&T when she's in bed!

Oh dear that must have been scary. I think our toddlers sound similar. Isla does stuff like that quite often she is so fearless. She'll jump from any height and we have to be ready to catch her in an instant. I'm sure she'll be ok. Enjoy your drink tonight x

They are so fearless, unlike their poor mothers!!!

You've made it this long?! Big S fell off our bed at about 2 months! Glad she's ok, yes they are a bit kamikaze at times!

It's never ending, isn't it? F fell down a step on the play area at swimming yesterday and landed on his face - he now has a lovely bruised cheek. Honestly, it looks terrible and god knows what people think! Enjoy that G&T (I may have also had one earlier!) x

G fell over the duvet i put on the floor next to her bed in case she falls out (how ironic she then falls over it but has never fallen out of bed!) and smacked her ribs on the side corner of her chest of drawers. Looked like i had hit her with a stick as she had a long bruise all down her side!

Bless her and you. M learnt to climb on the sofa a few weeks ago but has now realised how to climb up onto the back!! I'm just waiting for her to dive or fall off something as she is forever climbing on things.

A is always falling/jumping off furniture. Or running into it.
I'm surprised you've got away with still changing her on the table, Alex would have fallen off many a time if I'd still changed him there after he started rolling!
Hope she (and you!) are ok now.

Oh we've plenty others too. She fell off the bed a while ago and had a huge black eye, slipped getting changed at swimming a few weeks agao as she would NOT sit or lay down to be changed and had a big black bruise in a perfect line along her cheek bone. It's constant!!!!!!!!

Oh goodness! These are the things I'm dreading about W. His dad was a very accident prone child, so I'm thinking he might be the same! Hope she and you are ok now.
