I want to get some photos done of my h and b, as we hardly have any photos of the 3 of us, we can't afford to spend a lot and just want a few good prints, any idea how much this is likely to cost? And any photographer recommendations for the West Midlands?

Ah bailey it a shame you don't live up here. Iv just had some done with the woman who did little madams- £20 for half an hour and a disc of 60 photos!

Wow that's a fantastic price! Was that an offer of some kind? not sure I could convince H to drive that far but might be worth a shot!

I've jus had a look at that one but I'm wondering if the prints will be really expensive, I'm happy with just a few but h is really into photography so would probably want loads

They might let you have them on a disc for a cheaper price than prints- worth calling them?
Or do you have a good camera? Could you get some one you know to do them for you?

H has a really good camera, but he's so picky about everything and wants studio type photos with good lighting, might give them a ring to get a price for a disc, as I only want a few really

Not an offer, just what she charges. She's brilliant take a look at LM's E's photos. Totally undervalues her work!

They are lovely photos, exactly the sort I'm after,I can't believe that's all she charges, last time we had some studio photos done the disc alone was £500!

Jesus Christ! Tbh I was expecting alot more when I asked LM what she paid. I mean you wouldn't get one photo for £20 would you usually? Wonder if its worth messaging to see if she travels, meet half way for some nice outdoors pictures- she does dogs too but Cora was in season :(

What's the photographers name? Ill look her up, I think it would be about 3 hours away from me but tbh we travel that far when we go to visit my family in London aswell. I'd love ones with our dogs aswell but I can't imagine them sitting still at all when somewhere new. I've looked at a few local ones and its £25 per print and then extra if you want a disc!

Ashleigh grant photographer, that's what she's under on my Facebook. Shes just started renting a hall to do them so I know they were going up to £30 soon (till cheap) but ours were still £20 as of Monday x

There's a little place in Bilston that we went to for a big family shoot (it was the IL's so I don't have the pics). I'm pretty sure it was only about £30 for the shoot and then £10 per image on a disc. Might be worth a look at?
14/04/2013 at 16:10
That sounds good OB, will definitely be worth me looking at them
14/04/2013 at 16:34
Ok, I've just looked them up. They are called 'picture this'. They have closed their studio in Bilston and their mobile service is a few months away, but they are doing 'location shoots' (whatever they are!).
Can't link properly from phone but maybe this will work m.facebook.com/PictureThisStudio
I've just had a quick look on the Facebook page, and found it painful to read. They came across much more professional in person.

Thank you, I'll look them up, I think that means they can come to your house to do photos maybe, my H will probably know what it's all about

I don't know what she charges as it was a favour to me but maybe contact the lady that did my newborn shoot? Her page is Sara Beaumont Photography on Facebook, she's really good.
