hiya, on the other thread you said about the carpel tunnel and the swelling getting worse after?
is it really bad? when does it go ?
i was under the impression my swelling and the CT would go by the time i leave hospital haha ?

I developed carpel tunnel and bad swelling at 40 weeks, the midwife and GP kept saying it will go once the baby is here. I had him at 42 weeks and as soon as he was out my swelling was gone and I could feel my fingers again! I remember being in theatre thinking oh they were right straight away- didnt think at the time that it was the epidural reducing the swelling hahah. The next day they were twice as bad (trying to do up babygrow poppers with carpel tunnel is interesting). My swelling went down after a week but the carpel tunnel lingered for another 3-4 weeks I'm afraid to say!
Sorry that's probably not what you wanted to hear but I hope it's different for you x

oh pants haha !!
hubby bought me my eternity ring this week and i was so desperate to wear it after baby is born !
the CT keeps me awake at night, so after the birth it wont be an issue as im sure ill be up all night anyway .
its more the pain and swelling

Unfortunately it took a while for me, I didn't get pain for my CT after the birth but it was just very frustrating as getting baby dressed is really fiddly and not being able to feel was so frustrating! I was told by my midwife to avoid fizzy drinks etc after the birth to try and help the swelling and CT reduce quicker.
