Morning, sorry noodle I only just saw this!
For me, everything went a bit pear shaped after S's birth, it seemed ok for a couple of hours so I wanted to know why I suddenly lost so much blood when I got up. I also only had vague memories of what they did to stabilise me so I asked her to talk me through what happened step by step afterwards. The other thing I wanted to know was what the likelihood of it happening again was with any future babies I might be lucky to have. I also wanted to know if I would be looked after differently. It turns out I will be, no MLU for me next time but no reason why I couldn't have a water birth as there is a pool on the consultant unit at my hospital.
The way I asked for the session to be structured was to just start from my admission and go through everything in the order it happened. They talked through my notes and showed me the trace printout as well so I knew what was happening with my heartbeat, S's heartbeat and my contractions at what time. I found this particularly useful.
Does that help? Happy for you to email me if you want to talk some more? I hope it goes well for you today lovely, let me know xxx

Thanks popcorn, it was really useful! I had timings all wrong in my head so it seemed weird it actually written down. I also got to look at all the CTG's and she talked through them. Like with you my concerns were on next time also, she talked through my options and like you it's pretty limited but now I know that I can make a decision.
Thanks for your advice, hope you and S are well x

I'm really glad you found it useful. I'm still disappointed that I won't get a lovely MLU delivery next time but I was reassured that the hospital were keen to make sure that everything was taken into account and that they would make considerations based on what happened. I think if I hadn't had it, I would have been gutted to find out that I'd have to be consultant led once I was actually pregnant, at least this way I'm prepared.
I hope you're doing ok lovely x

I think knowing my options before I decide to have another has been useful, I'm glad it has been for you too! It was useful to read my notes too as it backed up my letter of complaint going through PALS at the moment. Thank you for your help much appreciated xx
