I went to my 1st appointment a couple of weeks ago, from when they said my due date was I would've been 10 weeks at the time. The midwife said that from "feeling my uterus" she thought I was probably 2 weeks farther along than I had thought. Which would make me 13 weeks now.
from what I was reading online that either means: 1) I am in fact farther along or 2) I am carrying twins.
though, twins don't run in my family, I assume its still possible. This is my 1st child and I'm already getting a bump... I've been pretty average weight my whole like 120-130lbs but I didn't think I'd start showing already... and guesses as to why?
My issue has been SLEEP! I just can't seem to get enough of it. Even if I go to sleep at 4pm when I get off of work and sleep all the way until 6am when I wake up to go back to work I still feel like I haven't slept at all! I just didn't think it was possible to be THIS tired ALL THE TIME, sleep is literally all think about and it's become my goal at work everyday not to lay my head on my desk and completely fall dead asleep! Anyone else feel this way?

i felt that way in early pregnancy and again in the third trimester. Safe to say I've just had singleton pregnancies.
when is your scan? That's obviously the only way you'll know for sure. There are some factors that increase the likelihood of twins, such as age, having IVF or if it's in the family x

Hi I felt the same, it's absolutely exhausting, I was actually creeping into a den in my classroom while my class had lunch so I could have a 10minute nap!
I xwas showing from 9 weeks and everyone still says how big I am. Some people just show more than others! I'mjust ghaving one baby
Good luck for your scan xx

Thank you ladies, I got for my scan this coming Tuesday and I have so many emotions about it (not sure if it's the hormones bc I typically don't get so anxious) but overall I'm excited of course.
I just feel HUGE because I went from 130lbs to 145 when they weighed me at my 1st appointment and my jaw just dropped. Hopefully there is only one baby in there, that's all I had planned for anyway. My biological father had a set of twins and my boyfriend's grandmother is a twin but I don't know what that makes my chances.
I suppose I'll just have to live with the exhaustion part of things, as of right now I feel more awake than usual but as the day goes on I doubt that will be the case haha.
How far along are you ladies? Due in December as well?

definitely not due in December here lol, I'm nearly 35 weeks and hoping baby will arrive before the end of the month!
believe me it flies by so so fast. I remember it felt like ages before the first scan but honestly it's gone so quick.
And the best advice I was given was to step away from the scales for your pregnancy, or ask the midwife not to tell you. It's not important. You will put on what you put on, as long as you don't go mad on the chocolate and cake!

I am due in October, and it's flown over so far. I was nearly in tears before my first scan i was so scared but everything was fine and it was a lovely experience. I've never known relief like it after seeing him squirming away for the first time! I've got a big bump everyone says how big I am and this is the first week in pregnancy I've actually put weight on, I'm not worrying about weight gain, whatever happens happens, as long as baby is healthy!
