My HV mentioned to me that I could make a big batch of purée and freeze it in icecube trays and then just defrost a couple of vibes when I need them. I've not attempted to make a batch of my own yet and have used ellas kitchen pouches. They can be refrigerated for up to 48 hours and are also suitable for freezing, maybe a stupid question but does his mean it would be fine to do the samething, so when I open it, empty it into an icecubes and freeze it? It doesn't have to be frozen in the pouch all together?

I can't see why it would matter. Same as buying large amounts of meat or similar and portioning it up surely? Though i have no personal experience. My SIL used to make and freeze batches if baby food.

Thanks RC, that's what I thought but thought it was worth checking!

Thanks lovey, I was planning to put in freezer bags too, I had already thought about the loose food 'crumbs' in the freezer ending up in his grub!
