I haven't started a thread in ages but I'm feeling a bit lazy so I'm gonna paste my message from last night as I'm not sure anyone read it!
Sorry I've been so rubbish getting on here
MrsL: Great news about all the kicks and the baby shower. I didn't have 1 last time & I'm hoping that my work will organise 1 (I was a supply teacher at my school last time) but at the same time I don't want people to spent too much - would like a little fuss though!
Sapphire: Great that you felt flutters, hope your cold goes soon
RF: Love the headband worry! No one bought us any (I was so relived but did make a comment early on that I didn't like them or shoes on a baby!). At least your baby has a first name, I think our baby is destined to be called Pumpkin!!
Saff: Not long till your scan
DS: Glad your scan went well, even if she was in an awkward position, how exciting for another girl!
AFM: I had my GTT this morning, I set an alarm but set it for pm instead of am so was 15 mins late!! Then slept for 3 1/2 hours, then got a call from gp to say my iron count is low so have to start taking iron tablets tomorrow. Productive day!
Today (Friday) I've got a ton of jobs to get done before we go on holiday on Sunday like a ton of washing & finishing painting & I've told hubby he has to go to Ikea after work tonight!! Now just to find a small single mattress & a single duvet!!
Hope you all have a lovely day & weekend x

Hey bk nice to see you! Hope you have a lovely hol! What is a GTT?
MrsL not sure about a baby shower, i might just have 1 last girlie meet up thing but still play games and leave ppl to decide about gifts. As my issue is the name as it implies presents. My friends who have had them loved them and all recommended them. The way your doing it sounds lovely.
AFM still got terrible hayfever and possibly a summer cold (hard to tell when I'm so blocked up and feeling running down on no sleep) so I'm wking at home today. Out with H tonight celebrating engagement anniversary, trying to make the most of last few months just us two.

Rio: GTT is the test for gestational diabetes, you would've been told at your booking in if you were in an at risk group for it. Unfortunately I was heavier than I'd have liked when I got pregnant & by the time of my booking in appointment at 10 weeks my bmi was just under 30 so it was recommended for me. All done now. Hope you're feeling better later in the day x

Wow! You're busy BK! Hope you manage to get everything done, and have a lovely holiday. Wondering what the GTT test entails, as I think up here we are tested routinely for it whether at risk or not?
Rio, that sounds lovely, hope you enjoy your night. I have never had hay fever before but think that I must be suffering with it now, is that even possible?
AFM - off to school to finish a few bits as this is the last day I can get access. Went to gymnastics last night and it was fab, wish I had more tickets!
Hi to all who follow

Morning, sorry I haven't been here for a few days.
BK - busy day for you today! I posted on your other thread about duvets but we got R a mattress for a small single from Amazon,I think the company was happy mattresses or something similar. I hope you have a good holiday.
I keep meaning to ask MW about GTT as my bmi has been higher than 30 in all my pregnancies and I've never had one.
Rio - hope you and H have a lovely evening.
Saff - glad you enjoyed gymnastics, we are going to rugby 7s tomorrow and athletics next week. Don't work too hard today, it's too hot!
AFM -we woke up to no water this morning and still not sorted, not great on a hot day! I was planning a day in the garden but if water isn't fixed soon, we may have to head out. Still not much going on baby wise. 18 weeks today.
Hope everyone has a lovely day and weekend x

quicky from me as LOADS to do
yesterday was THE BIG MOVE, both boys in together and it went really well so shocked, i mean h and i were almost divorced at the end of the day after all the furniture was built but both boys are sorted now yay!! hoping it all goes well, isaac has now started with a 5.30 wake up for the toilet and decides he doesnt want to go back to sleep, however in the past month hes now dry day and night so i think il risk it for a biscuit and ditch the nappy for bed tonight [wibble] eek!! but would love a few months nappy free before i have to go back to the 10/12+ nappy changes a day
my parents are down from scotland and thankfully no headbands, there are some absolutely hideous cardigans (with fake huge diamonte buttons all in new born size and in every girl colour you can imagine) but iv not said anything as my mums friend knitted them and you can tell a lot of work has gone into them, so i think itl be a quick photo of baby girl in the cardigan and sent to mum and her friend and then off!
middle name update, no name as yet, H wants Seren Rose (as the middle name) and i just want anything other than that, he was not budging on it, but hes now said last night if i come up with an absolutely lovely name i can have it so long as he never ever ever has to have a vasectomy and can go to 1 city away game in europe next season , so im now actually considering this trade off (although im not getting sterilised so i need to look into other options i think)
bk - where are you off to on hols?
rio - have a lovely night out
saff - oo glad you enjoyed the gymnastics, we are up next fri im sure its male gymnastics we are seeing on the friday and h and my dad are going to the boxing on the saturday, will need to check re the gymnastics, the 4 of us are going and im sure thats what it was, i really wanted the swimming but watched on tv last night and the male breast stroke was fab
dd - o god i hope water on soon, is it the full street?
25/07/2014 at 12:44
Trf - it's back on now, only just though. It was a burst water main locally so quite a lot of streets affected I think.
The swimming was great last night wasn't it, I'm sort of hoping that no Scots win at the medal events when we're at athletics as I was in tears a couple if times last night watching them get their medals! Did you get accommodation sorted in the end?

it was the look on the guy who got golds face as he just could not believe it
yes im staying with my parents as evil sister has fallen out with them and allegedly left home ( moved in with evil boyfriend, im sure itl all end in tears but at least we have somewhere to stay lol).
glad the water back on now!

Saff: I really hope you're done now, don't work too hard & make sure you have a total break. How bad is it I had no idea what you were talking about in your post yesterday & only then did I switch on the tv to see the commonwealth games, I really don't have my finger on the pulse atm!
dd: Glad your water is back, thanks for sharing the link on my other thread. I was looking at some of those designs on ebay but your link is slightly cheaper (slightly annoyed with all the pink designs but hopefully I can find 1 that works)
RF: Sounds great with your boys in together. We're off to France with eurocamp for a week on sunday but the aim is to start toilet training when we get back so any tips appreciated (I've got the gina ford book to read whilst we're away!!)
AFM: managed to find a mattress online for under £100, done 2 loads of washing done & a 3rd in the machine, managed to spend my hubbies £50 boots voucher (with 24p change!!) & bought a duvet that was reduced from 4.99 to £1.99 as I said the outer bag was a little ripped! Now trying to get some energy up to go & finish painting (well as high as I can reach without a ladder). I'm certainly gonna need this holiday!!
