Another lovely day here so will be spending the day in the garden. Got the carpets fitted yesterday so the bedrooms are all back to normal. Put babys cot in our room too while we were moving furniture anyway, very weird having it in our room - makes it seem a bit more real - and that its happening soon!!
Hope everyone is well :-)

Glad that you managed to get the carpets fitted yesterday Ally. We still have the crib in the spare room, will be very strange to move it to ours! Have fun in the garden today.
Midwife appointment for me yesterday was very eventful! After all the stopping and starting of last week, the midwife wanted me to pop to the hopsital to be checked over by the Dr which resulted in a 5 hour wait. Dr said that baby is definitely ready to come out and the pain and discomfort I am feeling is being baby is positioned so low. Apparently I am still 1-2 cm dialated but fully effaced. Dr offered to induce me which H and I declined for now and agreed to reasses next week. She said that baby is by distressed but foetal movement is more limited and it may ease my discomfort. In the meantime I had a stretch and sweep and am hoping that this will bring things on naturally. No contractions during the night so i dont know if the sweep worked yet but here is hoping.
H had decided to work from home today and I am meant to go out to meet friends for lunch so going to continue with that and maybe go for a long walk after.
Baby out vibes much appreciated!!
Have a good day all x
Lovely day here too, shame I'm still at work and stuck in the office. I'm sure once I finish in 3 weeks the rain will return! Not a lot space in out room so I'm not letting H put the crib together yet, maybe another few weeks yet!
Very glad its the weekend, this working lark is getting tiring! Been washing more baby things like bedding, just some towels and pjs to go and I can pack the hospital bags tomorrow - eeeek!

Missed you there Ferbs! Least you know baby is ready, and youre not quite due yet are you? Plenty of time for LO to come on their own! Must be uncomfortable in thsi heat though, my feet are like litle balloons!

Am due tomorrow PC. It is comforting to know that baby is ready but very confusing to have things start and then stop and not develop. Ah well, baby will come on its own time and worst case, will be here in 2 weeks (don't know if i can put up with this for that long though!!)

Ally, glad you can get everything back to normal now, enjoy your day.
Ferbs, have everything crossed that the sweep does something and baby comes sooner rather than later.
PC, eek for hospital bags!
AFM, it's another lovely day here. Off to the supermarket this morning, then back to school this afternoon to finish preparing for the fete. Looking forward to a nice weekend as a family, with the fete and then our local farm is taking part in Open Farm Sunday so that's both days covered. Hoping to see lots of friends at the two events and just have a relaxing few days. Baby has been super wriggly the last day or two which is fab.

Ally – having the cot in the room sounds scary! A day in the garden sounds good to me, I’ll be doing similar.
Ferbs – baby out vibes. Fingers crossed things start to happen naturally very soon.
Porkchop – think positive the sun will still be around then. Eeek – exciting packing hospital bag!
Margot – sounds like you have an exciting weekend ahead!
MrsClarke – hope it brightens up later for you. Hope the next 5 days don’t drag.
Duckford – enjoy the baby shower today. Fingers crossed work doesn’t get any more painful.
AFM – after buying cotton wool last night, baby hospital bag is officially done! So I’ve moved onto mine and been looking at the bits I need. Have just ordered some slippers.. And eyeing up some nighties and robe at the moment, all cheap but trying to decide which size to order. We have a weekend full of NCT classes ahead of us, so hoping to make some new mummy friends. Then we need to decide whether to do the NHS classes to as I’ll have to let MW know at Monday’s appointment. I’m sure the NCT will be enough but I think I’ll ask whether our hospital lets us have a nose around the ward beforehand.

Ally, have a lovely day chilling in the garden! Think my H is putting together the crib this weekend, bit scary! Not got mattress or sheets yet though so not yet operational.
Ferbs, baby out vibes!!! How annoying having a 5 hour wait for the dr but fab news that baby is ready now! Just in time for due date too! Hope something starts happening today x
PC, I'm thinking the same about work and weather! Although I'm off today so can't complain. Roll on mat leave!
Margot, what a lovely weekend! I live in a big city so no farms and fetes here, I'm v jealous!!
MrsC, ooh serious countdown now!! That's so exciting! Enjoy your last pregnant weekend!
DF, glad work went well. Don't push yourself too hard x
Sapphire, you're so organised! Where are you looking for nighties? Was going to go to Primark but can't handle the effort of going into town and battling the crowds anymore! Might just get the 2-pack from Mothercare. Hope NCT goes well and your class is nice. Ours is next weekend! Excited/nervous!!
AFM - day off today! Wooop! Got four friends visiting this weekend with two arriving tonight, so need to clean the house! Will make sure I also get some sun, and got a pedicure booked for this afternoon! Looking forward to a bit of pampering Here's my bunting which I promised to flash!

Pirate Wife - I like to know things are done! I've looked on Peacocks and Matalan - They are only £6 each. Also, if you've not ordered off Peacocks before you can get 20% off if you pay through PayPal www.peacocks.co.uk/paypal which is what's luring me to them. Love your bunting! Enjoy your pamper session.

Sapphire - with regard to sizes I bought huge ones! Size 20 I think for both night shirts and dressing gown. Figured my bump will fit in them, and then they'll be nice and loose for after, its so hot is hospitals anyway!
PW - I got mine in Matalan, the primark ones were a bit lacy and old granny like! Love the bunting!

MrsC, not long to go now, how exciting!
Duckford, enjoy the baby shower and roll on Monday to get your run of long shifts over.
Sapphire, you're very organised! Enjoy the NCT classes.
PW, love the bunting! Enjoy your time with your friends.
Have done the shopping but my appendix scar is painful again, I'm hoping a good rest now will make it bearable for popping to school this afternoon and then Joshua's swimming lesson later.
