Happy Friday everyone!
I think I may have overdone it a bit this week, I have been out three evenings on the trot and I am shattered. And my nausea is back with a vengeance. Nice. So I am working from home today, as I feel a bit rough and I think I'm getting a cold.
Pregnancy wise, nothing to report, just counting down to my midwife appointment on Tuesday,
anyone got fun plans for the weekend?
Hope everyone is well x

Hi gavi, hope you had fun on your nights out. Good that you can work from home.
I'm enjoying half term. Getting work done and catching up on friends. Last minute weekend away this weekend with H so looking forward to that. Hi to all who follow.

I hope you feel better after havng a day at home, then its the weekend. Will you be able to relax?
I still can't believe I'm actually here, it doesn't feel real! I feel nauseous and have done for weeks, hence me testing last night. OH was shocked but very happy. I don't know what to do next... any ideas?

Hi raincloud, missed you there! Have a great weekend away!!

Boo, when was your last period? It depends on area how they deal with early pregnancy. I had to go and see my doctor, then they write to the midwife who sent me an appointment letter. Some people just call their midwife and then got for their booking in appt between 8-10 weeks. I would suggest calling your doctor's surgery and see how it works in your area. Hope the nausea eases soon.
Raincloud - hope you enjoy the rest of half term and your weekend away.

6th January was the start of my last period, I have no idea how to work it out. Websites vary from 4-6 weeks! I will call doctors later today, thank you Gavi.

Hello Gavi! Boo for feeling knackered and sick. It is rubbish! I'm also sure the more tired we are the worse the sickness is! Hope you have a nice day working from home.
Raincloud - Enjoy your last few days of half term!
Boo - Like Gavi said, I would work out when your last period was so you can date your pregnancy and then book to see the midwife at around 8 weeks. You may need to see the GP first, just depends how your surgery operates. Congrats!
AFM - Day off today *does a little dance* 12 weeks this weekend *does another little dance* off to the Baby show tomorrow. Eeeek! Probably won't be buying anything unless there are any super bargains. More for lots of ideas and to have a good nose as baby stuff. 6 sleeps until scan day. All happening at the moment!

Morning everyone - so glad its Friday!!
Gavi - good that you can work from home. Hope you feel better soon.
Raincloud - enjoy your weekend away!
Boo - welcome and congrats again! By your dates you could be 6.5 weeks - what were your cycle lengths like? I'd ring your GP and find out if you need to book an appointment or just go straight to the MW.
Ducky - so jealous of your Friday off! Congrats for 12 weeks on Sunday! Are you going to the baby show in London? I'm not sure whether to go or not. I feel I may get a bit overwhelmed by it all. I already have got overwhelmed just looking at maternity wear!!
AFM: Well I woke up to no hot water and a leaking ceiling. H thinks the shower pump is leaking from the airing cupboard, but the central heating didn't come on either. Who knows. The positive side to renting - I love it! Having owned our own home for ages it just depressed me as it needed so much doing to it and we couldn't afford to do it - now we rent its so much easier - its someone else's problem!! Landlord is sending someone out today to have a look - good job we cleaned the house last night (we have a friend coming to stay tonight!) I had to wash my hair over the bath with hot water in a bucket from the kettle!
13 weeks today! x

Browny - Yes the one at the excel. I'm hoping that this will be the most overwhelmed I can be because every other baby shop will be smaller and simpler in comparison! I'm looking forward to having a look of all sorts in one place, without any pressure to buy anything. I'm going with my sister (who lives in London) so it will be a really nice girlie day out and catch up too.
Sorry to hear about the lack of hot water and leaking ceiling! Really hope your landlord can get someone out to fix things ASAP!
21/02/2014 at 09:48
Thats true! I'm just worried we'll get hassled into buying stuff we don't want/need and just imagine I'll wonder around, overwhelmed and come away more confused than when I went! I am tempted to go to get free samples though and have a look at cloth nappies. If we go, it'll be on Sunday as we're hopefully going car shopping in the morning!

Ducky - I can't believe you're at 12 weeks...your Christmas day BFP only seems like five mins ago! Have fun at the baby show. Looking online is as far as I am going for a long while yet, just to get an idea of the cost of everything!
Browny - you'll be leaving us soon! Hope the hot water gets fixed today, it is a pain when it's your responsibility to fix it. We have British Gas homecare which is great.

Gavi hope the nausea eases and working from home helps that.
Raincloud enjoy your weekend away, where are you going?
Boo I would ring the docs and ask as others have said it depends on the area as to whether you need to see the doc or go straight to the midwife. The docs will date you from the first day of your last period, but as browny said it might be less depending on your cycle lengths.
Ducky enjoy your day off and the baby show. I think it's a great opportunity to see lots of different things in one place.
Browny hope the leak can be fixed quickly. That is definitely an advantage of renting!
Well the past few days I've started feeling icky. I don't feel like I'm going to be sick, but its just not a nice feeling. I don't know how you lot that have bad sickness cope! I didn't have this with k so hoping it doesn't get worse. I've fished out my travel sickness bands as that's come back and I always used to be the child that was sick on a journey so hoping they help control it! Got friends down this weekend so got to tidy and clean the house. Last day of half term, its gone way too quick!

Hi all, I hope you don't mind me skipping the personals today. I'm frantically trying to pack for our weekend away! Still struggling with my headaches and general all over aches - I ended up running a bath at 4am but it didn't help much. Have spoken to the GP this morning and she's happy for me to continue taking paracetamol. I really hope my acupuncture appointment in a few weeks helps.
Have a good weekend all x
21/02/2014 at 11:09
Boo - my last period was 7th January so only a day after you and I'm 6+3 today so going by last period that would make you 6+4, though when you go for your dating scan they may put you back if you don't have a standard 28 day cycle and ovulate around day 14 because you may not have actually concieved until a week later perhaps if that makes sense.
Gavi you are a dirty stop out
Raincloud half term and weekend away sounds lovely! Enjoy!
Browny oh no! But yay to it being the landlords problem!
Ducky enjoy your day off and the baby show, sounds exciting and I think good timing too because as you say no pressure to buy yet you can just have fun browsing
Bunny I started off with just a sicky feeling but now I'm actually being sick, gonna have to get those bands I think see if it helps.
AFM, as above really I feel like pukey mcpukerson! Blurgh. And work is stressful I'm looking forward to the weekend, my parents are coming down, this was when I was going to tell them but they already know.

Just a quick hello and wishing everyone a great weekend! I'm ok, LittleSue is playing up at the mo which is very tiring but hope that passes soon. I'm 14 weeks tomorrow so guess I'm expected to head over to 2nd Trimester? Bl**dy hell - that went fast!!!!
21/02/2014 at 15:26
Sue - good luck in 2nd tri - fingers crossed I will see you there in a few weeks. Hope Little Sue starts to behave herself!
WG - sorry to hear about the headaches. Can you take codeine when pregnant? That might help if they get really bad!!
Malteasers - bummer about the sickness fingers crossed it b*ggers off soon
