hope you don't mind me starting the thread.
finally got my scan date through and it's not for another month so I will be 13 plus 5! I was a bit upset when I received it as I know that if they hadn't have forgotten my referral I would have had it sooner. And as I'd had some bleeding the other week I just wanted to see the baby. To top it off a girl I'm friends with who is due a week after me had her booking in yesterday and got her scan date there and then and hers is before mine! But mine was sent in the post so surely mins should have been before hers? Anyways enough moaning from me!
symptoms seem to be bit stronger lately and buy boobs were really sore last night. sorting out putting our house on the market this weekend, what are you ladies up to?
13/09/2013 at 08:04
Morning Bertie, glad you have your scan through but it is unfair you have to wait to long. Could you try ringing to see if they could squeeze you in earlier? Exciting about putting your house on the market! Are you moving to a bigger house or a different area?
AFM: well I was sick for the first time this morning. I've been feeling nauseous and have retched a couple of times but this morning was the first time I've been sick! I'm taking it as a good sign :) My boobs were really sore overnight and I just couldn't get comfy. Had a go at H for nothing this morning, stupid hormones! I'm 6 weeks tomorrow and I think its starting to sink in. TGIF thats for sure! My boss has been a complete PITA this week.
Hello to all laters and lurkers xxx

Hey Bertie, RUBBISH about your scan, would you consider private? Mine cost £60, which I guess is fine because we felt we could afford it, but it really meant so very much to me in putting my mind at rest and feeling more positive (not that you can tell from my posts, bwahaha!). Moving is so EXCITING! and stressful. But exciting mostly. Have you seen anywhere you want to go for?
Hi Browny, sick? Oh no! That's horrible. I have spent weeks wishing I could be sick, but then being sick makes me cry so I sort of am relieved I'm not if you know what I mean. And yes, we're told all things morning sickness are great signs. So er.. yay. Lol.
AFM, tired, perma-nausea, but feeling more positive as each week passes. And at least I am working and functioning (low-level) which is not how it was when pregnant with Harry, so it's all good :-)

Hi Bowny- Oh no being sick! so far I havent been sick once! Juts had some lovely retching episodes. I was stressy towards my H too, must be somethign in the air today! We want something bigger near to where we live now.
Counter- Morning. We did pay for a private one at 7 plus 6 but H wont pay again :( I am going to call today just to see if they have any earlier... you never know unless you ask I suppose! We havent seen anywhere yet but the estate agents are telling us they are really busy so this month and next should be good for finding something. Glad that your feeling more postive :)

Didn't manage to get on yesterday. Was at work and on a school trip. So busy day!
Bertie- have you tried phoning to see if your scan date can be changed? When mine initially came through it wasn't until I would have been nearly 17 weeks! It was an admin error. Although it was a pain trying to get through to them I finally did and the scan date was changed.
Browny- I used to take being sick as a good sign.
Counter- I find 1st tri is sometimes all about low level functioning! Just to get through the day!
AFM- not a lot to report. Was at work yesterday. We had a school trip. After giving all of the children their lunches before we left school I managed to leave mine on the desk! I had picked up the first aid bags but forgot my lunch. I was VERY hungry by the time we got back! Luckily we were back at school just before 2. I have my final EPAU scan tomorrow morning.

Hi S4, where did you go on the trip? That's something I miss about school, lol. You must have been Hank Marvin! I used to go days without eating, but right now it's a minute-by-minute situation :D

Just dashing on at work so apologies for no personals, will try to get back later. STILL no scan date which is annoying. I'm at the hospital for my booking in on monday and the MW bit is right by scanning so i'll go and pester them if i haven't had it.
Bertie with P my scan was over 13 weeks and i rang and told a little white lie that i was away that week and so could it be moved a week earlier, it has to be before a certain date to get the nuchal testing. And they did move it forward.
I had a better night and managed to sleep more and feel less horrific. I think its because i managed to eat some dinner which really makes a huige difference to how i feel but its impossible sometimes. Looking forward to H being home all weekend so i can catch up on some sleep.

Ok so I just called the hospital and they had an appointment for the 3rd october :) yay. I feel better now.

13/09/2013 at 11:22
AR- Definately chase it up. No harm in asking. Enjoy our weekend with your H.
13/09/2013 at 12:14
Bertie, glad you managed to get an earlier appointment
Browny, symptoms are good remember - don't feel bad at having a go at your H. I had a go at mine last week for unzipping his jeans too noisily when he was coming to bed
Counter, glad you are feeling better as time goes on - remind me when your scan is?
Section4, yay to almost being out of epau care, hope scan goes well tomorrow
AR, that's rubbish you don't have your scan through yet! Hope you get lots of rest with your H being home this weekend
AFM, September weekend here, I'm feeling better today, slept so much yesterday that I was wide awake at half four this morning cleaning the kitchen (that H was supposed to do last night grr) and now at the hairdressers. Grif, I promise I'll get those trousers posted today! I'm planning on clearing out my wardrobe this afternoon while H is out with M as theres so much that doesn't fit anymore.
Sorry probably missed loads of you as ive been typing for about an hour in between chatting to hairdresser! Catch up on those I've missed later as just heading to pick up M from nursery x

Afternoon all, and thank god its Friday!
Bertie - Well done for getting an earlier appointment, mine isn't till i am 13 + 3 and i am wishing now i had tried to get an earlier appointment.
Browny - As horrid as symptoms are i find them quite reassuring, is horrid being sick though.
Counter - Glad you are starting to feel slightly better.
Section4 - Loads of luck for the scan tomorrow.
AR - Not been on much since you were in Lincoln, how did you get on? fingers crossed your scan comes through soon.
Having had a good week with symptoms easing i had terrible heartburn last night that kept waking me up, i then woke this morning with someone elses hangover, forced some breakfast down and prompty bought it up again, have ventured into work and am nibbling on a dry bread roll and sipping ice cold water and hoping it will stay down. blleeugggh. Have had to progress into maternity trousers as can't get any of my jeans done up at all, trying to hide things for another week till after my scan but getting quite difficult may have to buy some smocks over the weekend, as middle of last week i woke up with an obvious bump all of a sudden and now it seems to be growing daily, i don't think people will be too surprised when we finally tell them. On a scan countdown now.
Hope you all have lovely weekends xx
