Morning! Thank goodness it's nearly the weekend. I've missed my H loads this week (gag alert, I'm normally not soppy at all!).
I'm glad you're feeling a little better today, even if the fatigue is in full force. I didn't really have any symptoms with my son, so this constant sick feeling and bloated tummy is a bit of a shock.
I'm meeting my Bessie for lunch today. It's going to be a bit awkward. H and I decided not to tell anyone else now until after our 12 week scan, which I've not got a problem with. However my Bessie had a mc this time last year and she was, and still is I think, majorly cut up about it. Although I won't be telling her today, I'm just really nervous about telling her, not because she won't be happy, I'm more worried that it might drag things back up for her; afaik, I'm the first person she really knows whose gotten pg. anyway, enough rambling about me!
Ooh I should say, I might not be around often on Mondays and Tuesdays as I'm at work

I've been awake since 5 with a coughing, roasting hot boy. Then A woke at 6, watched 3 DVDs so far and I think that will be the gist of the day! I had planned on cutting the grass by ill see how he is later. Typical when a Friday is my late shift at work.
MW went fine yesterday. Everything has moved around in the maternity since I had L so I got a bit lost.
The MW was keen for me to consider a home birth be wise of the speed L arrived. Not sure my H is keen though!
I was measured and weighed and I've already put 3 lbs on - not a happy bunny! She insisted that's normal though and just the extra blood and fluid starting to build up. I can def feel it around my middle and my H pointed out my boobs looked bigger - already!!
9 weeks today and 2.5 weeks till next scan.
Hope you both enjoy your weekends x

Isis - It's sooooo hard isn't it? I'm 5+2 so only a few days behind you but the worry is constant. Having said that if I start throwing up and feeling dreadful then I will long to be back in the pre symptom days! It's v early days yet for us! Is it a private scan you are going for around the 8 week mark? We are thinking similarly although I've not booked anything yet.
MrsD - Was your H away working? I'm not crazy soppy either but don't like it when my H is away either. That's such a shame for your friend. Things might change for her in the next few weeks if she is still trying and she may also be feeling better emotionally over that period. It's so hard but it's the way of the world and I'm quite certain she'll be delighted for you. We have a similar dilemma actually as we are going to a wedding in Sweden at the end of August and we should have had our 12 wk scan by then. H is the best man and the groom and his fiance have been TTC and have just had a failed attempt at IVF. Obv I won't be drinking although I'm hoping I won't be showing too much at 13 weeks....however what a dilemma about whether to say anything ahead of the wedding or leave it till afterwards which also means not telling anyone else in H's group of friends who will be at the wedding and see me not drinking! Argh!
It's our first wedding anniversary this weekend so we are away for a wee night to a gorgeous hotel in Inveraray. Can't wait although I won't be able to take avantage of the jacuzzi bath in quite the way I expected as I'm not sure how H will feel about a tepid bath with me! Lol!

Sorry missed you there LR as it took me so long to type! What a shame about your wee one :( Hope he recovers quickly but that you have a nice relaxing day. Glad to hear the appointment went well. What are you thinking about the home birth? I have to say I really like the idea of it although like you, I'm not quite as sure what my H would say! How quickly was L born? Happy 9 weeks!
Isis - Being knackered is a symptom isn't it? :)
Mrs Dee - I'm sure she will be happy for you even though it will be a bit awkward. It's horrible lying isn't it?
LR - Rubbish being up so early. Glad MW went well though. Maybe the weight gain is mainly boobs?!
AFM - 6 weeks today! Another milestone reached. So glad its Friday, can't wait for the weekend. Going out for dinner tonight which should be good.

MrsDee, I didn't have symptoms with my son either. Today I feel ok apart from tired but the nausea I've had is very odd! I hope you have a lovely lunch, I had a similar situation with a friend and ended up telling her as I didn't want her to see me and guess or something and it turns out she's also pregnant! It's lovely but we're both worried.
LR, glad the appointment went well, I've moved towns so got a different birth centre to find for my appt, luckily it's in the same building as my GP. I had a home birth with Jude and will be having another providing there's no medical reason (breech etc), if you have any questions just ask. I loved it!

I took too long to type!
Sweet pea, my scan is with the epu. I had a mmc about 18 months ago (we then had a ttc break and got married instead!) so I'm really anxious and my midwife gave me the number of epu to self refer and they've booked me in for a scan. Didn't want to do it too early as you can't see anything. If they hadn't then I would have booked a private scan even though we're skint.
My mum was my birth partner with my son and she was really unsure about home birth but we did Nct classes and she realised how ace it all sounded and how a lot of her problems with my birth were when they started with intervention. It seriously was the most amazing thing I've ever done.
Mrs V, you're right! Still need to do some housework though :( yay for a milestone ticked off :D

LR - I hope your little one is feeling better soon. I secretly love DVD days
SP - I hope you have a lovely weekend. It'll be nice for you and your H to just relax with no interruptions. How did your dinner go last night? Was you able to get away with early meeting/no drinking?
My H wasn't away, just working late. I think I'm all soppy as we've had an amazing couple of weeks. It was our first wedding anniversary two weeks ago and then we had a week away with our son. I wasn't much looking forward to work, so the thought of my first day back and AF due on the same day was almost a killer lol! So obviously with this weeks news I've got the biggest grin ever! My parents are having my son tomorrow for a few hours too as my H and I have got a couple of appointments to attend, so that'll be nice.

With L my waters went just after 5pm and contractions started in full swing, back to back with no time in between. got to the maternity at 6ish, they examined me and said I was 7cm, his HR dropped very dramatically and my H had to lift me into a wheelchair, rush downstairs. As he lifted me onto the bed to be examined again I was already pushing and L was born with 1 push! The cord was around his neck twice, hence the heart deceleration.
Was all a bit traumatic at the time but I'd still rather have that speed again compared to when A was born.
I started contractions Thursday morning and she wasnt delivered until Saturday 4pm!

Hi Mrs V - Congrats on 6 weeks! Yay!
Isis I'm sorry to hear about the MMC. You'll absolutely feel much better for the early scan.
MrsD - Congrats on the anniversary! Are on the 2012 FB group at all?? Have a great weekend!

Sorry SP missed you first time around!
Aww, hope you have a lovely weekend. It was our 1st wedding anniversary a couple of weeks ago. Time has gone so fast!
Just seen on facebook that one of my friends has had her baby a month early after some complications - very scary stuff but they are doing ok.

So, it turns out my friend is pg herself! I am so chuffed for her. I wasn't going to tell her about me, but she kept going on about how I was the only one left to extend my family further, so I ended up fessing up! Truly a great afternoon in the sunshine.
Have a lovely weekend everyone! X
ETA MrsV I hope your friend is ok

Mrs Dee - That's great! At least you didn't need to worry about telling her. Yeah I think she is doing ok but probably a bit shocked its happened so soon!
