I am so thankful it's Friday! A week of working in a non air conditioned office has really taken its toll! Just one more day to go.
Hope you're all doing well and that Rosco has had no more bleeding.

Hi FM. 11 weeks! Wahoo!
I'm at 9+2. Still having a lot of n&v. Just coming to the end of my week signed off work. Not entirely sure how I'm going to manage work on Monday. Particularly as I'm in a client facing role. Whenever I feel the nausea, the worst thing I can do is talk. Makes me actually vomit. It's put me in the predicament of whether to tell my immediate boss or not. It seems early days, and I'm reluctant to do so, but if I can't do my job, it feels only right to tell her. What a dilemma!
Hi to everyone else too! It's quiet here x

FM I hope you're feeling better today and manage to have a nice relaxing weekend.
Casgup that sounds horrendous and I really feel for you, personally if it were me I would tell my immediate boss, if nothing else just so they cut you a bit of slack.
Also thinking of Rosco and hoping you've had no more bleeding and that Monday brings you positive news xx
No change for me, although boobs have started hurting like hell, the pressure from the shower almost brought me to tears!

Cassup I told my boss as soon as I found out as I just can't travel! Worked in my favour really.

Glad it's Friday too.
FM - hope you're feeling a bit better.
Casgup - I think I would tell them just so they give you a break if you can't cope etc. I would tell them it's early and you don't want it made public.
Woowoo - hope the pian settles down a bit.
AFM - no more bleeding so still just waiting for Monday. I am trying to tell myself what will be will be and I guess I'd find out now if somehting was wrong instead of waiting for September which has to be a good thing. Then my less rational side takes over and I just want it to all be OK. Ah well I've got my cold and work to distract me! Bring on the weekend all I want to do is sleep at the moment!

Wow FM, not long to go til you're officially 2nd Tri!
Casgup, rubbish that you're still feeling awful, if you think it's going to be a struggle, it might just be easier to tell them. At least they can be a bit more sympathetic....hopefully!
Rosco - so pleased you've had no more bleeding. I bet you'll find a happy little Rosco all snug in there and it was just one of those things
AFM - I'm officially 5 weeks and apart from boobs reaching new heights of pain, I'm doing good! I bought a 2 pack of cb digi's when in NY and done the last one today. In the space of a week I went from 1-2 to 3+ So I'm a happy bunny this morning! Also booked an early scan in for this time in 2 weeks when I'll be 7 so fingers crossed we'll be able to see everything we need and then we'll prob tell parents after that. In other news, we get the keys to our house today which is where the fun truly starts! There will be so much that needs doing to it so excited to get in there and start planning!!

Tonka - I have thought about doing another CB test next week, I thought I was odd for thinking this but you have just made me think I'll do it! Although will need to be careful I don't get obsessed and start doing one every week! I hope it's not too personal, but can I ask how you go about getting an early scan? I have thought about booking a private one when I'm around 8 weeks but H thinks we should wait until the NHS one, but I'm far too impatient!
25/07/2014 at 13:40
Hi Woowoo, I'm actually paying for a private one. It's my first pregnancy so I've got no reason to ask for an NHS one. The only time they would scan you early at EPU is if you're having bleeding and cramps and are more than 6 weeks gone. Mine is £60. I don't need to have it but we can afford it and I'd like to have one for reassurance. I've been doing IC's every 2 days just to see the line get darker but will stop that now!!

Just as well to add that I had two miscarriages and bleeding at 10 weeks and still wasn't given an NHS scan! Some hospitals appear to offer them and others don't.
We paid £80 each time and for us they were well worth the money.

Thanks ladies, I didn't think you could get one early from the NHS without having previous problems. Local to me I can get an early scan for £69 which I think is worth it. 12 weeks just seems so far off to wait for the first scan, my midwife won't even see me until I'm 7 weeks!
25/07/2014 at 13:54
I had one at 7 and 10 which I found just enough : )
25/07/2014 at 14:01
My main reason for wanting one is I don't know how far pregnant I am. My periods have been all over since I came off the pill last year and my last period was 22nd May, which would put me at 9 weeks but the CB test says 2-3 weeks, so I think I'd just like to know really! And the reassurance would be good.
25/07/2014 at 15:03
I can see why you would want one too Woowoo!
I haven't seen a MW yet and my booking in is on August 6th with the NHS scan on September 10th. I called up about the bleeding and they said the EPU would be in touch but may not do anything so I was a little surprised they're seeing me Monday but if that wasn't the case I think I would have booked a privtae scan for 7-8 weeks just to put my mind at ease. Oh and I have still been doing tests to see the lines get darker. I took my last CBD this morning also for re-assurance and it was still +ve 3+weeks.
25/07/2014 at 15:12
That's good news Rosco re the +ve test. I'm getting the feeling that everything can vary so much from area to area.
How do you get your NHS scan date? I assumed the midwife set that up after the booking in appointment? It's all very confusing!
25/07/2014 at 23:01
When I called the midwife to set up the booking in appointment she said she would send my details over to the hospital to set up the scan. Then an nhs letter arrived a few days later with the scan appointment. I was surprised it was all so quick to be honest. I expect every area is different but it is the mw who sets it up.

Hi Ladies, I know it's not Friday, but I thought I would reply on here anyway!
I had a scan at nearly 5 weeks after 2 lots of bleeding and pain as my midwife told the EPU the wrong dates. I then went back last monday and was dated 6+3 (as opposed to 6+6 as I thought). All was well and I was discharged.
I had some more bleeding 2 days ago so self-referred to EPU and they gave me another reassurance scan. Luckily baby has grown - measuring 8+4 - and has a lovely heartbeat. It was so worrying though! Other than that I'm still feeling nauseous and so tired.
(8+4 by my dates and 8+5 by scan)
