Had a fab, but exhausting, day at the golf yesterday. I won the most improved player award, probably because Inwas *so* rubbish last I played 3 years ago! Saw a few old colleagues/peers and had a mix of comments on the size of my bump, ranging from you're still tiny to are you sure there's only 1 in there. I think the small bump comments were mainly from people who saw me when I was 8m last time though.
Little Bob is 24 weeks today, V day! Although I tend to think of viability as closer to 26 weeks.

Baby wise - think i felt the first little kicks last night. It was little light popping sensations, not full on kicks but defo more that the little flutters I have been feeling. It's too exciting!!!

Mrs Mack- I think we will also be going to watch the Hangover- who said romance was dead! haha. Seems like everyone is starting to feel little movements now so should only be a matter of time for me. Come on baby, do some gymnastics! Hope you enjoy your time off and what a lovely way to end it with the scan :)

Also, has anyone else got really itchy nipples!? They are driving me mad. I'm trying to discreetly rub my arm over my chest this morning but it isn't helping. I just feel so uncomfortable in clothes at the minute.

Morning all -
BG - Yay for being 24 weeks
MrsB - Enjoy half term
Twink - Enjoy your weekend
PS - Glad your having a good day
Sam - Enjoy the hangover. i love those films
MrsMack - Yay 10 days! Enjoy your manicure, what colour polish will you go for?
AFM - Went out for a meal for friends birthday last night, had a good time then it got horrible. Left the pub around 11.30 and drove home, but for literally 1-2 mins forgot to turn my headlights on, then remembered and switched them on. So police pull me over. I was so scared never had anything like that happen before. They tell me they have pulled me over for not having lights on. Ask where i have been, i tell them name of pub, they ask if i have been drinking, i say no, im pregnant. He says "oh". Doesn't try to breathalise me or anything. Then checks my insurance and comes back and says are you *says my first name*, i reply yes, he just says okay thats fine and i drive away.
Now other than being a bit shook up about being pulled over, i was really appauled at the way they handeled the situation, just because i told them i hadn't been drinking, was pregnant, they shouldnt just take that as gospel, shouldn't they have breathalised me? Also saying is your name ...... doesn't do anything, they should have asked to see ID. Lastly they just said "okay thats fine" , shouldn't they have atleast said, please make sure your lights are on next time? Forgive me if im wrong but what does this say about our police force? Absolutely rubbish in my opinion.
Anyway........ Woke up in the middle of the night and i think i might have felt my first baby movements, like others have described them, flutters/butterflies, not completely sure though because i was half asleep.

Sorry to rant everyone its just really annoyed me
24/05/2013 at 10:49
MS- That's so bad. H was pulled over a few weeks ago for not having his lights on exactly the same as you. It was about 1am, he had nipped to the petrol station to get emergency chocolate supplies and he pulled out of the petrol station on to the road and then realised and turned his lights on. Police stopped him, asked if he had been drinking and where he had been. They said that not having lights on is usually a sign of a drunk driver but just let him go.
24/05/2013 at 10:58
Sam - Did they breathalise your H? Its fair enough that they would want to check if i had been drinking but then why not breathalise me?
24/05/2013 at 11:02
MS- No they didn't breathalise him either. I don't even think they asked for his name or any I.D

BG - good news getting to the 24 week mark. I felt more reassured with every day after that point as they're that little bit stronger
MrsB- enjoy your week off, hope the weather is nice
Twink- hope you enjoy your weekend
PS- nice to have lots of movements
Sami- enjoy the meal and cinema . I haven't this time, but had really itchy nips last time, I was the same as you trying to secretly itch all the time! Only lasted a few weeks though I think
MrsM- have a lovely break, it will go faster to your scan because you are not working too.
MS- I think they probably couldn't be bothered with paperwork. I assume if they breathalysers people then it has to be recorded. Bet it was scary though!
AFM- been to the gp this morning who told me to go to a drop in physio clinic about my back so fingers crossed they can help. My lovely H has also text me to say he has booked me a pre natal full body massage for tomorrow morning so really looking forward to that. No other plans for the bank hol though I don't think.
Hope everyone has a lovely long weekend
