Morning all happy friday!
not much to report from me other than we picked up a Moses basket stand for free last night which we'd seen in facebook. found the basket we want in mamas and papas so will get that after holiday. 1 week to go!
anyone have any exciting plans for the weekend? Xx

Morning MrsL, I think we just crossed posts so I've amended mine. Yay to finding a moses basket, ours is from M&P and we loved it.
I'm afraid it's another 'woe is me' post from me this morning. I've literally maybe had an hours sleep all night. Every time I lay down I have this terrible cough which is killing my head and throat. After I've dropped F at nursery I'm going to buy some honey and lemon and then have chicken soup for lunch! We're going out for the day tomorrow to the races, child free, so it's typical that I feel crap for it. Feeling well and truly sorry for myself!

Arrrrgh I posted a thread, off to delete lol
Morning everyone. Feeling a bit meh today as this is the gestation I got to with William
but need to snap out of it I suppose.
working 12 hrs today, tomorrow and Sunday eugh!
Nothing much to report baby wise, bought a dress yesterday [blush] and some boden sleep suits and dungarees (yes I wasn't going to buy anything al all! I and ordered mo monitor too as our old one broke. Think my list of wants/needs basically stands at new breast pump and some bedding and sleep suits (o and renovate the full house )
anyway take care all

MrsL-ooo I love a bargain!
WG-hope you feel better for tomo.
TRF-look after yourself today x.
AFM-so glad it is Fri! Although not as exhausted as usual. I think being strict with myself and only wking 9-5 and taking my lunch this week has really helped! Still wrecked by end of the day (hence a dip in MD action) but not wrecked at beginning of the day, woo! Leaning towards going to Glastonbury and taking a chair and other supplies on Sun. At what point did you start buying baby stuff? Still feel a but funny about it but getting tempted. Might wait til 2nd scan done.
27/06/2014 at 08:26
RF - sending hugs for today. It's so hard to resist buing stuff now isn't it? I think we only really need some sleepsuits, bodysuits, new bottles, Moses basket mattress, a blanket and furniture for the nursery! No more purchases till after our holiday now.
Rio - both times we've waited until after 20 weeks to buy stuff. Just didn't really feel right before then. Glad taking it easier this week has helped.

Morning all! I must apologise for being so crap at getting on here lately, I'm sorting out our new house and getting ready to decorate, it's using up all of my time but I am really enjoying it!
MrsL - that's great that you managed to get te stand for free, where are you going on holiday?
WG - and a holiday for you too, where are you off to? Sorry you've had such a rough time, it's awful feeling ill and not being able to take much. Do you have lozenges, vicks, etc. I hear that Boots do a version of Lemsip without the decongestant and so it is safe to take during pregnancy, may be worth a trip? I've been suffering with headaches recently and find that 4head roll on takes the edge off. Hope you feel better soon.
TRF - I'm not sure if I knew that you were expecting a little girl, huge congratulations! It must be very difficult for you, being at this stage of pregnancy, I hope that the next few weeks fly by and perhaps you can start to feel a bit more confident, huge hugs It's very exciting though that you have picked up a few bits and pieces. H and I planned to buy one outfit (with a view to it being a 'coming home' outfit) after the Nuchal scan. However, we really struggled to find anything gender neutral, so will leave it til the next scan and hope that there are more pieces in the shop by then. Hope these shifts fly in for you, 12hrs is a long stretch.
Rio - as above, we intended to buy one piece but will now wait until next scan. Although, the Next sale happens next month so I may eat my words! We already have a Moses basket and stand as the lovely Sweetpea gifted us hers, but prams and the rest will wait til about 30 weeks I think. I'm glad you are being stricter with working hours, you really need to look after yourself, proper breaks will make it a bit easier. Hope you enjoy Glasto if you go.
AFM - I'm now off for the summer, I graduated on Monday and visited my new school on Tuesday, am off to meet them for end of term drinks this afternoon. I'll be popping in and out over the next few weeks to get my classroom ready, I am very nervous (but excited) to have my own class in August. Putting in some more restaurant shifts over the summer, and painting the new house too, so loads to keep me busy. Planning to return to the gym as of tomorrow...eeek! but going to stick to swimming, hopefully yoga, and in the actual gym I will focus on non impact work such as bike, free weights, and cross trainer. I've felt my energy levels gradually increase over the last week or two, so really want to focus on eating a healthy diet and staying fit now, as I've gained a lot of weight very quickly and not a lot of it is baby...living on crisps and sweets in 1st tri was necessary but I need to break the habit now.

Morning ladies (yes I've actually made it on in the morning!!)
MrsL: It's nice to buy things! Where are you off to on holiday?
WG: So sorry to hear you're feeling worse, really hope you perk up by tomorrow x
RF: Of course you're having a reflective time about William, as you're working so hard in the next few days I hope this time passes quickly for you x x
Rio: Glad to hear you're feeling less tired. I bought a few things just before 20 week but waited till after to buy most things.
AFM: Can't believe how exhausted I'm feeling again. I keep having bizarre dreams that seem realistic which I think is stopping me sleeping as well as I should be doing that coupled with a certain someone waking me up at 2.30 then 3.30 for a drink. it's right next to her bed but she hasn't figured that out yet! Off to the farm today so need to wake myself up a bit! Have a good day all x

rio - with L and I i didnt buy till 30ish weeks, this time i bought a token outfit at 16 weeks after gender scan (same with the boys), and a dress and dungarees yesterday on a spur of the moment thing and a monitor as it was on a great offer and ours is broken. o and friend making a blanket. not had 20 week scan yet so its vvvvvvvvv premature but at the gender scan they did say what they could see looked fine, so im just hoping all is ok :-/ very jealous of you going to glastonbery, not that im into camping etc just id love the atmosphere
saffron - good luck with new school
Bk - i had horrid dreams with isaac, really realistic and very frightening, i ended up hysterical and speaking with the mw, who was absolutely lovely and said that they are very very common and its just because we are so foccused on baby that they are in our thoughts iyswim, i ended up with relaxation music before bed, but tbh they kind of settled the more i felt him move iyswim.
meant to say - big boy pants update and all was well, didnt want to take them off for bedtime and wobbly tooth update, still hanging by a thread
27/06/2014 at 10:50
MrsL - that's a bargain. I need to get a new moses basket as the other one is knackered!
WG - Poor you, could you sleep propped up a bit? I hope the honey and lemon work for you.
RF - Hugs to you, it's understandable to have a bit of a wobble when you get to particular stages when you've have a previous bad experience. I hope work goes quickly for you x
Rio - I waited till after the 20 week scan on previous occasions, I just made a shopping list up before had so I felt I was doing something. Glad to hear you're being strict with yourself over your working hours - you and baby come first. Enjoy Glastonbury - have you got wellies?
Saffron - yay for the summer hols! I've been trying to eat more healthily after being rather gluttonous in 1st tri!
BK - Bad dreams in pregnancy are horrid. Have a lovely day at the farm.
AFM - At work, though I'm having a little break. I felt Yubnub (H's nickname for the baby) kick me yesterday, there was no mistaking it, so I'm really pleased. On another note, O thinks the baby will be coming out of my bottom. He asked if it would be coming out of my mouth and nose at first, and when I said the baby would be coming out of 'special place near my bottom', he latched on to bottom. He's too young for a birds and the bees chat so I'll just roll with the baby coming out of my bum .
I hope everyone is having a good day!

DS thankfully im having section, so L knows the baby is coming out of my tummy he did ask what happened so i said my tummy got big and when the baby is big enough the dr will make a small cut and baby will come out (he loves the gory side of things) anyway then he asked if my stomach would explode and would there be poo and food everywhere o to be 5! he hasnt asked how its got in there....yet! no idea what to say, hopefully itl be when h is at home and im at work
WG - hope you feel better soon xx
RF - hope works not to bad x
Rio - we got given a pram at 14 weeks, we brought 1 baby grow after our 12 week scan and then rest has come as presents after our 20 week scan. we still have lots to buy but im going to wait until after our holiday
Saff - were off to Menorca, cant wait! sounds like you have a busy summer planned
Blackkat - were off to Menorca next Friday. hope your days ok.
DS - have you found a moses basket yet? I dont want to spend too much on one if they only sleep in it for a couple of months, the M&P one is £35 at the moment.
Its halfway through the day girls, cant wait for 5.30!!! xxx
27/06/2014 at 13:27
speak for yourself mrs L, iv 9 hours still to do, finish at 2230 although i do have a 3 hour meeting starting at 2 so thats quite good (although boring!)
27/06/2014 at 13:38
MrsL - I've seen some on the Kiddicare website for about £25.
27/06/2014 at 14:30
RF - hope the day and evening goes quickly for you
DS - thank you ill have a look on kiddicare - do they have stores or only an online place?
27/06/2014 at 15:10
Saffron - we're off to Cornwall a week today, cannot wait! I popped to Boots earlier and bought some of their glycerine honey and lemon linctus and their blackcurrant one too! I've also been sitting with my head over a bowl of steaming water too in the hope it'll clear things. I suffered with headaches in first tri so you have my sympathy. I found the migraine patches to stick on the forehead helpful although I ended up having acupuncture to help. Enjoy end of term drinks this afternoon.
BK - Hope you're having a good day at the farm.
RF - loving the big boy pants and wobbly tooth update!
DS - I think if I'm coughing bad again tonight I'm just going to come downstairs to sleep on the sofa! Love H's nickname for baby and that you've felt a kick! Bless O about where baby will be coming from, poor F thinks he has 'baby sister' in his tummy as well as mummy's!
MrsL - hope your afternoon goes quickly.
AFM, I've been curled up on the sofa with my honey and lemon watching telly. H ordered me to take it easy today so that's what I'm doing. Looking forward to a bath tonight, takeaway (not that I can taste anything mind you) and hopefully and early night ready for a long day tomorrow. All this steaming to clear my nose has got to be good for my skin, right? Lol.
27/06/2014 at 15:24
WG - I'm glad you've been resting, hopefully a takeaway and a bath will help with fighting off the bug!
MrsL - They've got a few stores dotted about the country - hopefully, there's one near you, if not, their delivery service is excellent. Here's where you'll find the stores: www.kiddicare.com/.../StoreLocatorContentView
