Morning all :)
Where's Counter - gawd I hope there's some good news for her, keeping everything crossed :) xx
Bertie - due date tomorrow, it would be brill if she arrived on her dd and the flapjacks sound soooo good, wish I could have some ;-)
Trifle - I hope things start kicking off for you soon :)
AFM 32wks today and our growth scan today and check with the diabetic clinic, we may be able to get a piccie of our little dude again :)
Hi to all those who follow and some good news I hope with the impending births woohooo xx

Trifle my last attempt was awful lol so definitely more butter and syrup! You sound the same as me, just period pains and nothing else! Hope the house sorting isn't too tiring.
Lee lee good luck today, enjoy seeing little one again :) be lovely to get a pic if you can.
Counter please be having your baby!

Hey Ladies - Bertie, what's your address again? I was just going to pop by, all casual-like, with a massive CORK. Can't be queue-jumped again! Ha ha. Seriously though, the pains are all good as even if it doesn't lead straight in to labour it means everything is getting ready, that's exciting! Have a nice day.
Trifle - I posted in the tri thread last night about the due date list Purple Star maintains for everyone, wondered if you fancied popping yourself on there, it's pinned at the top of the Baby Talk forum. How old is A? I'm peed off with lack of mobility but mine is mainly just a very excitable jack russell, it would be a nightmare if I had proper responsibilities! What are you sorting in house? Lots to do?
LeeLee - ooh another scan, excellent! How's the GD going, you've done pretty well haven't you? 32 weeks, you're definitely on the home straight now :)
AFM - loads of contraction-y pains last night but constant and nothing like labour. I guess I'm just hoping my body is doing what it needs so that come Sunday we get a nice quick delivery. Not much point in continuing to hope for spontaneous. Every healthcare professional I dealt with seemed to think I'd be induced once they heard how late my son was! So I'm going to work from home a load today, as hubby is off tomorrow and I want to spend that time with him. Missing Harry loads, and so is the dog, she keeps looking for him!
Happy Friday everyone! xx

Bertie, I hope little miss cooperates and comes soon, hopefully not while the flapjacks are baking, though ;)
Trifle, don't worry too much about not being able to run around, I don't think anyone in your position really could. My sister said she ended up letting her toddler watch so much more tv when she was approaching her dd with her second. Hope you get house bits sorted, though.
LL, enjoy the scan! Even though they're scanning you because of GD, which isn't great, the silver lining is getting to see LO again.
AFM, Friday! It's the last day of activities at the British museum, but I'm still working a few more days there over the holiday (but I'll be sitting at a desk, so no biggie!). I was really bad last night and ordered ore baby clothes. I think I have a problem. I am strategically spreading them across loads of sizes, though, so that if people give us clothes we won't already have everything we need in any one size. As of today we have also been without a car for 3 weeks now and I'm really annoyed about that. They've said we can have a courtesy car, but I'm only licensed to drive automatic since I opted to switch my Canadian licence directly to UK without taking a test for manual... Not sure how likely we would be to get an automatic courtesy car.... We'll see!

Missed you, Counter! I really thought you *might* be off having your baby this morning, but at least you have a definite deadline.
11/04/2014 at 09:16
Bertie, I can't believe how perfect your bump is when I look like I swallowed a whale!!! And I'm not even term yet haha
Trifle - not long for you now either, you should flash your bump!!
Leelee- good luck at clinic! Let us know about the scan, I had my 32 week scan weds but I didn't get a pic :-(
Counter- have you looked up clary sage oil? I think they sell it in holland and barrat??
Wispa- I can't believe the car has taken that long it's madness? Hope your ok?
Afm- for those that don't know here's the rundown
Weds I had my scan that showed my baby girl looking perfect and an amazing normal size of 4lbs 6 , so the diabetes isn't affecting her.
However shortly after I saw the consultant and my bp was 150/100, mixed with protein, swelling and headaches I was admitted for observation. I was finally discharged last night. My bp is lower so I'm out of immediate danger but I still need close observation from the midwife. And I have had to stop work, so I'm now officially on leave :-(

Wispa - being without a car would drive me WILD!!!!! But I guess you've better public transport options where you are. Could you hire a little auto and charge it to the insurance? I love that you have a problem that you're dealing with 'strategically' by spreading the sizes!
I *do* have a deadline but can you imagine the red mist if they call and postpone me for any reason?!? Doesn't bear thinking about

Monnie! Good to see you. Oh it's rotten for you. Bloody PE. But you're off now and hopefully the perma-rest will help keep everything at bay. Do you have lots of books/apps etc to keep you distracted? Hope you're not too despondent, I'm very glad you're home :)
11/04/2014 at 09:23
I have a couple of box sets hubby is forcing me to watch, but it's already upsetting me that I'm not at work, I can't believe how much time I have to spend at home without my baby :-( this wasn't my plan at all :-(
11/04/2014 at 09:29
Oh gawd. Big hugs. Bet it feels like the end of the world today. It's next month though, Mon. It will go quicker than you think. I'm sure xxxx

Haha counter that made me laugh! I think that's a positive way to look at it and just think in 2 days you will have your baby :) I bet you miss Harry, how long did you say he is gone for? Hope you have a nice day with H tomorrow.
Wispa, I have a baby shopping addiction too but like you spread out the sizes so I think that justifies it ;) god I would hate to be without my car, hope they can offer you an automatic.
Monnie- thankyou, I'm very out front lol. You definitely do not look like you swallowed a whale! Glad all went well at the scan. Not nice stating in but best place for you and glad they are keeping an eye on you. How many weeks earlier have you had to start your leave?

Morning ( just!)
Happt Friday to everyone! :)
Bertie I love your bump, it looks fabulous. Baby oit vibes for a due date baby!
Trifle baby out vibes for you too!
Leelee I hope your appt and scan has gone well.
Counter I am sending them to you too, I hope your baby arrives at the right time in terms of H too as I know you want him to meet Baxter before everyone else!
Wispa I'm glad you'll be sitting at a desk, nothing too strenuos! I don't balme you on the shopping front, if we knew the gender I think I would have gone mad by now too.
Monnie I am glad you're home from hospital and that your BP is down. I know being signed off work isn't ideal for your plan, but the most important thing is the littl lady arriving safely and you being well. I hope you're not too bored at home.
AFM- I am so glad it's Friday. I'm really struggling with 5 day weeks at the moment so it's a good job I've only got one more of them to work! I counted up last night and I've only got 31 working days left spead out over 8 weeks! Yay!
My hips and back seem loads better with using the ball wlhich I'm glad about, I really don't want to become immobile anytime soon.
Bad news on our param, the dlievery has been delayed to July, which means we might not have it in time for happy feet ebing here. We have sorted out a loan of an icandy peach from a friend though so I'm not too concerned. Plus we've got the sling.
11/04/2014 at 12:55
Oh Monnie that sucks! At least you can make sure you are resting up at home though. Am I right in thinking you may not return to work after?
Imp thank you :) have you spread out your A/L so you're only doing a 4 day week soon? If so that's a great idea! Oh that's a shame about the pram but good that you have a back up plan. Which one have you ordered?
11/04/2014 at 13:10
Baby out vibes to Bertie, Trifle and Counter!
Wispa - glad you have a few days doing desk work. Good idea to spread the clothes between the age groups; we've barely bought anything!
Monnie - glad your BP has come down and big hugs for having to stop work early.
Imp - that's a pain delaying the delivery of your pram! It's good you have an alternative in the meantime though. Great your hips and back are feeling better.
AFM - had my 2nd antenatal-with-yoga class last night. I love being able to chill out for an hour! I've still got this annoying cough and muscle strain in my ribs and back but it seems to be slowly getting better now.
11/04/2014 at 13:17
Bertie with all the bank holidays coming up and my AL I've worked it that the maximum number of days I do is 4, in my last two weeks I'll only work 3 days. I'm glad tbh, I'm so tired after this week so who knows how tired I'll be towards the end..
Ixia sorry you still feel rough. Have you spoken to the gp about it? Glad that you're enjoying your yoga still.
