been awake since 6 this morning just couldn't get comfy and whatever side I wanted to lie on baby wanted to lie there too. Think I may have had a few Brixton hicks and stomach felt very tight but not sure. Off to midwife In an hour for 38 wk appt then need to pop to tesco to buy cupcake ingredients as I'm baking for my sister in laws baby shower tomorrow.
H has half day today at work so hoping we can do something together This afternoon.
hope you're all ok xx

Hi MrsL, don't you just love it when the baby gets in the way!! Have you had many BH during your pregnancy or is it a recent thing? I didn't have any with my 1st pregnancy but have had lots in the last few months. Hope yours aren't too painful. Hope your appointment goes well
AFM: I feel a bit off colour today. My appetite has been going down recently (not that it's been much this entire pregnancy) so I'm not sure if it's just that I'm hungry or maybe I ate too much chocolate cake yesterday (a friend brought it over). Have eaten melon & cereal this morning but the milk hasn't settled well. Gonna have a quiet day today as Isobelle has a cold too but am planning to walk up to the park with her after her nap this afternoon with a friend. Funny thing happened yesterday, my hubby rang me in a bit of a panic as he'd had a call from my phone & thought that maybe I was in labour & in too much pain too talk. Turns out Isobelle had somehow called him whilst I was cooking dinner!! At least I know he answers his phone!!
Hi to all x

Hi BK I don't think I've had BH at all so far, I'm not even sure if it was them earlier today or if the baby was pushing out. MW went fine, next appt is booked for my due date so we shall see what happens!
Hope you feel better soon, try and take it easy xx

Oooh, exciting about the BH if these are your 1st. I'm not always entirely sure if its the baby moving or a BH although sometimes it seems more obvious than other times! When I booked my next appointment last week I was really hoping that he'd arrive before my due date but don't think that's gonna happen yet. Every time I get a symptom (like feeling a bit off colour today) I get a little excited that this could be it but clearly he's not ready yet. Oh well, looks like I will have to see the inlaws on Sunday after all!!!! Don't worry, totally resting today!
Enjoy your day, how's the cupcakes coming along? x

MrsL - these babies are no help for us trying to rest up. Exciting though about (perhaps) having your first lot of BH.
BK - good to know that H will be answering the phone when the time does come. Enjoy your day resting.
AFM - sorry, I've not been around - it's been a manic week. I had my 28 week mw on Monday, all was well except bump was measuring nearer 32 weeks - so I had a growth scan yesterday. Baby is measuring bang on 50th centile and doing well but I have extra fluid so why bump measuring big. I was then sent onto AAU for a review, they took some more blood to check for any infection - after 28wk bloods, flu jab, whooping cough & anti-D already this week, I feel there's no more arm space! And have been booked in for GTT on Monday morning. I'm generally feeling ok about it as they didn't seem concerned, the dr didn't want to see me. So I guess just a case of waiting and seeing what these results come back as and see what happens from there.
Mrs L sometimes the hb make me feel a bit queesy lol it's like my stomach goes so tight and I wonder if itl ever stop lol.
I was getting my h to feel them last night and he said it made him feel a bit sick so he had to stop lol
Bk - ooo keep an eye on the appetite as this is how it all kicked off with Isaac. Lots of baby out vibes to you
Afm h us off work and grumpy as all the jobs he's put off have caught up with him and he's tonnes to do today. He's just asked if il help him move the chest freezer later (!) if looks could have killed!!!
Anyway if anyone cares about our extension il update lol, I feel like you have all been with me every brick lol, ok so after being told 4 weeks, we are now 4 weeks today, still not done, h has been away so basically Iv channelled my hormonal rage into fighting with the builders and basically they are on a 2 week extension and Iv deducted money! Iv had a friend (who is a bricklayer) check every thing and also the council are checking regulations too and thankfully all ok. Head builder has felt my wrath and currently has 4 men outside working like Trojans! In their defence the weather has not helped but they have vanished and went to other jobs for days at a time! As soon as the mention of deducting money was mentioned there was outrage and we seemed to become a priority (grr!)
Anyway there's now been an issue with the windows as they ordered the wrong design so the window won't go in till next week but other than that the council is coming back next week to sign off some stuff and they are then painting! I feel a career in building work coming on as Iv had daily meetings with the gaffer and got to vent a lot
They have signed a new contract saying themselves and their equipment will be out of my house by 30th I'm in denial that the baby will be here not long after that! Iv asked that my driveway is also jet washed I assume Iv been blacklisted by them and they will never take a job from the heavily pregnant hormonal woman again but needs must I'm afraid! Iv shouted a lot!!!
Anyway baby wise other than hb and feeling like she's going to fall out lol all ok

TRF - I missed you there. As if H asked you to help move the freezer, if only we could have seen his reaction! Good to know the hormonal rages come in useful some times. How annoying about the windows though.
Oh I forgot to add for me - BH started up last weekend only the odd one or two from time to time, but I just keep thinking it's way too early for them!

Sapphire I had hb from 19 weeks with Isaac!! I was so concerned and ended up going in for monitoring as I thought u could only get them near the end lol.
I don't think h even thought, he's just vvvv grumpy that he's left it all to last minute as usual, seen me sat there and said 'you are going to give me a lift with this freezdr aren't you?' I just gave him the death stare and said no he just stomped off. I do keep saying that if he'd have done all his jobs when he was first asked then he wouldn't be snowed under today, which isn't helping Tbf lol.

Bk I'm not sure if they are BH, baby has been so active today, he's not stopped punching and moving so I think maybe he was just pushing around this morning. Cupcakes are baked will ice them in the morning. How you feeling now? It's hard to not get excited about every symptom or twinge isn't it, I'm the same. X
Sapphire hope the results are ok. Sounds like you've had a busy week! X
Rf starting to wonder if they were BH and not just baby moving, def didn't make me feel sick just tight and out of breath. Phone the building work gets sorted soon, not nice having to worry about it all x
17/10/2014 at 13:23
RF - Oh no, that's early! I managed to escape them until about 35 weeks with M.
MrsL - Like others say, I think you get to recognise the difference between them. Baby can go from being very active and me getting BH soon after, but it's a very different feeling in a different part of my belly. What type of cupcakes have you made?
17/10/2014 at 17:15
Sapphire made vanilla cupcakes from the hummingbird bakery book, will decorate will blue icing tomorrow and have made some fondant icing dummies and footprints x
