I know it's recommend to give birth in full button nighties and I was wondering if you've bought any, where you've bought them from.

I've had a look in places like Primark, Mothercare but couldn't see anything suitable. I really don't want the kind that my 85 year old granny would wear. Thanks xx

i got a nice stripes blue one from matalan as like you say all the others were awful!! It buttons all the way down and was only ??3 in the sale in my local matalan. They have some ok ones on their website also but ill admit its very hard to find button down nighties that are suitable

I only had buttons half way down. I had to get out of my nightie and into a theatre gown during my labour. I was so out of it on gas and air that I could barely remember it but I don't think hubby and the midwife had too much trouble getting it off me! I wouldn't worry too much. Just wear something comfortable!

I bought this, in a couple of sizes bigger. Seems to have a little stretch in it, feels nice to touch, and is cheap so won't matter if I have to throw it. I'm a PJ person! :\)

i got some from primark and peacocks, they didn't button all the way down but about half way, so were perfect for bfeeding, but when i did go into labour they shoved me in a hospital gown just in case. xx
