    Hi

First of all dont panic!!!! I had GD in my first pregnancy and am yet to see if I get it again this time! I found out at about 28 weeks that I had gd I was referred to diabetic nurse and consultant! I managed to control mine by diet and was given a blood monitor that I would check pre and post food twice a day (its not bad at all!!!) I had growth scans aswell!!! My baby girl was 8ilb 8oz so a good size but not too big!!!

Hi, I developed GD with DD at about 35 weeks, once i learnt how to control it with my diet it was fine, there was just sugar in alot more things than i thought. DD was born a healthy 5lb 15oz at 39+6 She had slightly low blood sugars when born and was informed i had to give a few Mils of formula to keep her out of NICU (was breastfeeding) which I did and they soon came up. Had her at 3.45am sunday and was home with her 6pm Monday. Midwives were great in hospital as her heal had to be pricked before and after feed to check sugar levels which they did with no fuss. My bloods went straight back to normal after delivery.

Hope that is abit reassuring, im now 16 weeks with number 2 abd so far it hasnt returned although im sure it will , But i know now it really isnt the end of the world which i thought it was first time round.

If you have an questions please feel free to ask and good luck
with the rest of your pregnancy
