    Hi all,

I just wanted to introduce myself to everyone on here as I got my BFP on Tuesday after 6 months TTC baby no. 1!

I'm still in shock as I had no symptoms *at all* when I tested and only did because AF was a day late. I was completely expecting a BFN but got a good line on a cheapy straight away and then Pregnant 2-3 on a CBD. Needless to say hubby and I were / are over the moon!

I'm really excited but also so scared of something going wrong... although I know it's out of my hands and I just have to stay positive.

I phoned my doctor and they said I didn't have to go in to see my GP but should phone the midwife and make a booking in appointment. I did this and have been given an appointment on 20th August - very exciting! Can anyone tell me what this will involve?

Also, is it normal to feel like AF will arrive any minute?!

I am starting to get a few symptoms now: sore nipples, slightly sore boobs, stretching feelings... I get more excited with every new thing and can't wait to start really feeling pregnant!

Nice to meet you all and I really hope I will be staying here in Prenancy for the next 8 months...

    Tilty
    4+2 (I think!)

Yay!!! Oh my gosh I was so excited when I saw this! Congrats as I know you were on a longer road to your bfp too.
I was so scared for the first few weeks but managed to calm myself down and just break it up into little milestones such as week 6. As soon as I reached week 6 the morning sickness kicked in so I have not had time to do any worrying!
I had my first MW appointment on Tuesday and they just talk through your medical history and take some blood. They might ask about where and what type of care you want (hospital, midwife lead ect). She then booked me in for my 12 week scan and asked me to go back at 16 weeks. All very straight forward!
I also went for an early private scan at 8 weeks and that was ace! Saw the blob and it's heartbeat
    congrats again and enjoy!!

Ahhh Tilty I am so happy for you! HUGE congratulations!

Can't tell you about the midwife as I haven't had mine yet, it's 7th August.

I am 8+6 and am still on knicker watch! I had lots of stretching for a few weeks.

    Congrats again xxx

Aww, thanks so much ladies - I remember you both from TTC and it's lovely to see you again here!

MrsCake, thanks for the info about the midwife appt. Wow, your scan sounds amazing! I think you are right about concentrating on small milestones.... I am so excited about the prospect of even getting to 5 weeks on Tuesday at the moment!

I have to go and have dinner now (a bit late tonight!) but I'm really looking forward to chatting again and meeting everyone else on here. xxx

Hey Tilty, thought I'd say hello and congratulations too, fab news. I got my BFP the month I was least expecting it, so try and relax for now. I'm 12+1 and had my 12 week scan yesterday, it kind of comes round quick but slow at the same time if that makes sense. Enjoy! x
