Hello everyone is it alright if I come to you for some advice?

I am 10 weeks pregnant today which should be a celebration for me. Unfortunately I was overjoyed to get my BFP since I had a bleed at 6 weeks I've found with every passing week I get more and more nervous.. I am doing my best to stay positive and I am okay when I'm around other people, but when I'm by myself all the scary possibilities crowd in and I get very very scared.

My mc was over 4 years ago now and it was very early at 5 weeks. The doctors said there was no reason for me not to be able to conceive again. Still, I was surprised when I did. I haven't been back to the doctor since week 7 when I had blood tests done, because I have been so busy with work. Yet I had a scan and saw the heartbeat and everything was fine so I'm not sure what I'm worried about.

I really really want to enjoy this pregnancy. I thought I'd ask if anyone else had trouble switching off the anxiety switch and how did you get around it?

    Congratulations MrsKiss!

After a chemical pregnancy and early miscarriage last year I fell pregnant for the 3rd time (all in the space of 7 months). I found that I worried ALOT in the early weeks but with each milestone and scan I relaxed more and more. It is hard but you will get there - i'm sure after your 12 week scan you'll start to relax more.

Wishing you a H&H pregnancy xx

    Hi there

Pregnancy can be such a worrying experience - something that all the books and magazines gloss over. I had a mmc last year (discovered at my 12 week scan) and had had no adverse symptoms, so to say it came as a shock is something of an under statement!

This time round I have had my ups and downs - it is very easy to get freaked out by all the things that can go wrong. But you have to try to believe that you have just as much chance of everything going ok as you do of something going wrong.

I don't really have any tips for how to avoid the anxiety, but I have found that positive thinking and regular BE visits helped me get through my low moments.

    xxSara
