I did just to see if there was any connotations we hadn't thought of or people associated with it that we might not want. This was mainly because we didn't tell anyone our names until baby arrived (as didn't want them putting us off them), but meant you don't get other perspectives you might not have thought of - mr and mrs Dover wanting to call their son Ben without actually realising how it sounds etc

The person on death row wouldn't really bother me as no one would have heard of them over here I assume. If you lived in the state where he did the murders I probably wouldn't though.

We have such a bizarre surname i doubt very much anything would come up but i might have to have a look!

I haven't done this but am now off to check out D's name and mine too! Sounds like your Arthur option has some impressive name associations!

I googled their initials to see what that brought up but not their names....I'm off to do it now though!

Huh, there don't appear to be any other people with S's name out there!

Googling A's full name only brings up one person... who seems to be a teenage boy in Somerset. Not too bad. I'm almost 100% sure my A is the only one with his name, middle name and surname. When we name the next one I'll be sure to Google the full name, can't believe I never thought of it before!

When pg with J I did, and every search engine kept trying to correct the spelling. There are a few famous people with his name, but a different spelling.
Both of my boys share their name with American rock stars, pure coincidence, as I am not fans of either of their bands, but a lot of my friends thought I had named my boys after the rock stars. I loved j's name as soon as I heard it, but didn't use it for C, purely because the singer who shared his name, was very famous at the time (in the genre of music I listened to anyway, I don't think a lot of people know his name)
There are no other people that share my boys whole name.

Never thought about doing it for C, but then we have a pretty unusual surname - just googled it now, and it brings up one post of a photo of C which my SIL posted on Twitter with his full name on the day he was born.
The names I like for #2 don't bring anything up in google.

Only me potentially giving their c hild the same name as a murderer then......!!

Just googled for my 2 and thankfully the only thing that was found was their birth announcements!

We googled A's name because it is quite unique and didn't want to find out too late that it was the name of a horrible medicine or something (for piles or the like, for instance!), and it came up fine. Infact, we couldn't find any famous people with her name at all which we quite like!

Googling R's full name brings up loads of American obituaries! O's name brings lots of associations with a dress Kate Middleton wore by a certain designer.
