another little girl.
I wouldn't normally do a post about it but felt the board needed some more threads.
Has anyone got any name suggestions, as we are really, really struggling? We've had Lochlan for a boy for years but that can be binned now. We used our favourites for Grace 9 months ago and it's left us with a blank now on girls names.
So we need something to go with Grace Georgia, but due to family names can't have Sienna, Esmay, Hayley, Charlie or Freya. I love Lottie but he hates it and says it's too much like Lotto??, and he likes Pippa but I'm not keen. I think we're likely to stick with names that are a bit more traditional.
Thanks in advance.

I'm not even pregnant ( or ttc) number two but we've already talked about how hard naming a second girl would be! My little one is Sophia (middle name Grace!) so obviously I think those two go well together ;)
Poppy goes nicely with Grace, or my current favourite for another girl would be Isabella. Would your OH consider Charlotte and then there's the option to shorten it to Lottie (I know a few who have done that). Obviously a lot depends on your surname too!

Congratulations ;-) Alice, Florence, Audrey, Ethel?

Congratulations! I've got a Lucy and a Bethan. Just thinking of names I've come across through work - Fleur, Sophie, Holly, Emily, Rose/Rosie.

My fave girls name is Poppy. If we had a girl that would be her name!

Hi, thanks for all the congratulations.
In answer, I like Charlotte too but he's not keen on that either something about Geordie Shore?!?. I like Isabella although 2 cousins have daughters with it in there name so it puts me off a bit. I like Alice too but he doesn't (men). I hadn't thought of Florence so I'll mention that tonight. I'm not sure about Audrey or Ethel. Holly is the name of our daughter-in-law (he has an older son) so that's out although I do like it.
Fleur, Rose/Rosie is on our shortlist with Rose being a top contender.
Poppy has come up twice and my Mum even suggested it. I do love the name but wonder if it would seem a bit girly for a grown woman. Am I am just being silly? On a similar note he was married before to a woman that had 3 older children(his step kids). One of them has a daughter with the middle name Brogan, we both like it although it being anything to do with his Ex puts me off. Am I just being hormonal?

Congratulations!! My friend has 2 little girls, Grace and Maisie.

I don't think it would be too girly.
I don't think you're being hormonal! I refuse to have any names beginning with the same initial as H's ex because I don't want 'her initial - our surname' together haha!

Names that I think would work nicely that I don't think have been mentioned are Faith, Faye, Olivia, Marie. Our name choices if our boys had been girls were Ava Grace and Eliza Rose. We had also shortlisted Darcey, Betsy and Louisa.

Congrats BLL! Some name ideas from me: I love Faith, Sarah and Edith. My sisters' 3.5yr old twins are Poppy Anne and Abbie Marie, my other sisters little girl is CaraJayne.

I like the name Isabella too (infact it is on my shortlist of names if we ever have a girl). Sophie/Sophia and Rebecca are also on my list :-)

Congrats on another little girl :)
Names are hard, H and I could never agree on one for a girl first time round and we have two that we might maybe possibly agree on this time...
Some traditional names I like - Constance, Rose, Elsie, Faith, Sylvie. I also like Sadie, Eliza, Amber...H doesn't agree to any of these though :(

Congratulations! My youngest sister is Lottie. I love it personally.

Amazing!! Two girls. Wow. Those teenage years are going to be really interesting :-)
I'm really pleased for you x
And here's my fave girls names...
Roseline / Rosaline (rose-a-leen)
You can totally tell I just pasted them from a list in my phone :D

Thank for all the name ideas. I'm going to work through them all, the ones that jumped out were Ava, Constance, and Eliza. Poppy is going on the list. I love Violet but I know he hates that one
I'm also glad it's just not me that doesn't want a name that has anything to do with his ex. Unfortunately Rod me and her have the same first initial so we are going to be the same initial and name...
I wanted to text you Counter but I lost my phone (I thik I put it in the bin when trying to pack for our holiday) and with it your number. I hope Agnes is doing well xx

Did you have a good holiday??
Agnes is fine thanks. Things have changed so much in the last 3 weeks with her wanting to 'walk' everywhere and now crawling too. Definitely feeling there's a baby in the house lol. And we're TTC now too xx

Congratulations. The girls names that I like currently (not having another!!) are Charlotte (I know you've vetoed this), Victoria, Grace, Jasmine and Freya.
Good luck with choosing I found it so hard this time round x
