Their own breast milk?!
I did today - just expressed a bit to see if I could and didn't want to waste it! is that really gross?? it didn't taste too bad most like coconut milk weirdly!
Tell me i'm not the only one

I think we have all done it. I was curious, i thought it was a bit like condensed milk

Yes, it was sweet. I didn't like it.

oh glad it's not just me then!

H and I both tried it. Very sweet. He was really keen to.

nope, no chance. but then again the thought of drinking any milk turns my stomach never mind breast milk.

Yes. Just too see what it tasted like - Very sweet. Its not that weird ..... if you think about it long enough, drinking the milk intended for a baby cow is weird

Yes regularly to test if it was too hot or had gone off. Not a big deal, it's what I was feeding my baby after all.
I might feel weird trying someone elses, but probabky would do to test it without thinking, for example when looking after a friends baby and feeding it EBM.
Out of interest, would you feel differently about trying formula?

hf - when you put it like that drinking milk sounds weird
bg - I wouldn't think twice about formula don't know why really?!

The thought never crossed my mind to be honest. I did, however, accidentally taste S's prescription formula yesterday - I went to polish off her Weetabix that I'd made with it. Gross is an understatement to say the least!

I wouldn't taste formula either .... or cows milk ... I'm a funny thing.
30/04/2013 at 22:09
I never thought to do it with either of mine.

It's just milk.
I used to test the temp of EBM by taking a quick sip. I wouldn't put it in my coffee but if its good enough for baby I find it strange that some find the thought of trying it so weird. There was a similar thread a while back and quite a few people were against trying it IIRC.

I did out of curiosity, also I wanted to know what my baby was having. I always thought it tasted sweet but also a little soapy, maybe my milk is a bit strange!
