Thanks, we're going on Tuesday. They said they can't see us until then. I'm not sure my work will let me go, but if I can't she'll be on her own and I can't bear to send her alone.
f*** it, this is more important.

I had a burst ovarian cyst 4 weeks ago, I felt a strange pop in my lower abdomen (kind of like a gas bubble popping) after picking up dd. the pain wasnt excruciating when it burst, but after it had burst my abdomen filled up with fluid and blood and that pain was so severe dh had to call an ambulance and drs rushed me into surgery thinking I had appendicitis! Only after the surgery they told me that I'd had a burst cyst and also retrograde menstruation. (sorry if tmi at any point) if your wife hasnt had any more bleeding or leakage since then keep your hopes up and just see how it goes on tuesday.
Also while I was pregnant with dd I had fluid and blood gush, not loads of it but enough to scare me. Doctor said it was cervical fluid forced out by pressure from the expanding womb, small bleeds are common during pregnancy and that while it may look like a lot of blood, because it's mixed with fluid its probably not as much as it seems.
Not sure whether any of that will put your mind at ease at all, just thought i'd share experience in similar situation. All the best for you, your wife and little bean. xx

Thanks BM, that sound like what it could be! It wasn't painful, it just scared the hell out of us both. Oh my god I hope that's all it was and we get a positive scan on tuesday!

I've got absolutely everything crossed for you, and hope you get some brilliant news! Run your wife a nice warm bath, the more relaxed she is the more relaxed little bean will be. Good luck for tuesday, and whether good news or bad, never give up hope for the future. xx

I've also found this one very supportive, dh refuses to discuss anything other than a positive test result atm. It's so annoying! Especially considering af is now almost 7 days late and im not very hopeful as have already had 2bfns. He just accused me of being pessimistic and got the hump with me! Maybe its his way of dealing with possible disappointing news again, who knows. Its great to get loads of support on here when im not getting so much at home atm x

I updated my "lost 2nd bean" and "fell so helpless" threads the other day after the scan on Tuesday but I guess they've dropped down the pages since then.
I feel so stupid telling everyone that we thought we'd lost this one but just couldn't think all was ok after what happened to my wife on Friday with the heavy bleed.
Turns out, we have a heartbeat! She's now 6w 2d and there's a "very strong" Heat pumping away- what a feeling to see that! However, there is a second sac with a big bleed in it, which docs said could and hopefully will just disintegrate or reabsorb. Or it could come out by itself but the risk is if it gets bigger and comes out that it takes our little fluttering bean out with it on the way.
We're booked in for another reassurance scan around the 8th August but we're to go straight back if there's anymore bleeding.
Its good to hear from you and I'm glad I could help in a small way- I hope you have some better luck really soon, you all deserve to be happy, there are some truly amazing women in here. Xx
