Is there anything you can take for hayfever when pregnant? I'm seriously suffering and I need relief! My nose is blocked, my eyes itch and I cant stop sneezing!

I've no idea on efficacy, but local honey is supposed to help too.

I've taken pirinase nose spray every day twice a day since getting my bfp (and for about 20 yrs before that under various different names). I have asthma and it's part of my asthma treatment.

You can take loratadine tablets whilst pregnant. I did in my second pregnancy, not for hayfever but the doctor prescribed it for a random rash that appeared on my face and neck.

Rod you're meant to get anything prescribed, the pharmacist shouldn't let you have anything without a prescription.

I've been prescribed beconase, it's pretty good.

ok. I'm planning to see the doc soon so I will ask her. In the meantime I'm gonna try something homeopathic and hope for the best. I usually take loratidine so it would be good if I didn't waste the 2 million boxes I bought when the sun came out!

Rod beconase sprat and hayfever tablets should be prescribed by a gp before you take them in pregnancy. However give prevlin nasal spray a go takes a couple of days to kick in and you need to use every day but my pharmacist let me have it without a prescription.
