Just wanted to nip on and say hi. ERPC went fine y'day, I had to be at the hospital for 10am got ready for theatre about half 11 and they were planning on taking me down about half 1ish, however I didn't go down until nearer half 2. I had already taken the 2 tablets to soften my cervix much earlier so right before I left for theatre I started bleeding quite badly with clots which I have to say was quite upsetting and made me glad I had chosen the ERPC route.
I was back in my room on the ward just after 4 and was told I should get out in 2 hours. I was scanned while they did the operation to ensure they were focusing on the correct side due to my bicornate uterus (which I also got to speak to the doctor about but I'll come on to that), so think that had taken slightly longer. I felt ok when I got back, but my first checks showed low blood pressure and I had a high temperature which they said should be fine and was likely because I was just back. I had something to eat and drink and got checked again about 6 and my bp was better but I still had a temp. I felt much better and was up and dressed but I still had a temp at 7, however the doctor gave me antibiotics and some pain killers and said I could go at half 7. I went home, had an amazing shower and went to bed!
The doctor that did my surgery spoke to me before hand about my heart shaped uterus and said I don't have a complete divide or a really severe split but I do have a very heart shape which obviously takes up some space. She said that mc due to the shaped is very rare and only happens if the egg implants on the divide ( which it's unlikely too as there is less blood supply). She told me that any successful subsequent pregnancies would be prone to preterm labour. I ask how early she meant (thinking she was going to say 37 wks) and she said anything from 32 weeks. At least I know before hand I guess and I'm sure I would be monitored if we get to that stage.
sorry for the marathon update!
