    Hi Girls,

I've spent so long trawling the internet trying to find any nice dresses suitable for a wedding as I have 5 to go to this summer and one is very formal.

But I can't find anything that looks posh enough.

I bought a tiffany rose dress from ebay but it was strapless and the bust looked awful as I am now a whopping 34G cup and I think most size 12s are made to fit a smaller bust.

I'm debating whether to order a new dress from Tiffany Rose in a sleeved style so I can wear a good bra underneath but they seem expensive and I just want to get something nice that fits.

Any recommendations for styles of brands that suit a larger bust?

    Hi TLR,

I bought this one for some weddings. I wore it to a wedding i had in April but also got it for two weddings i have in August. It is very comfortable as it is stretchy but the straps and front bit is quite thick so it hides your bra. Although, i did have some cleavage in it but i think that was where i looked down! Everyone commented on how nice it was! Oh and i suppose one advantage of being pregnant is that the chance of someone having the same dress is very slim!

They also have other pretty ones.

i am the same size as you and have 2 weddings to go too, i found 2 dresses that fit well, one was off ebay a blooming marvoulas one and one from next, the next one had plenty of bust space although it isd a one shoulder one so requires a fancy bra, i havent so far found anywhere else that accomodates that well,

Have you tried some bigger size non-maternity dresses( e.g. from Monsoon)?
I am a size 18/20 and just lend my also pregnant size 12 friend who also has bigger boobs one of my normal maxi dresses which looked great on her.

Just make sure that they have very floaty material and that the seam is at the back so nobody will notice that it is not maternity wear.

The one I have is a bit like this:

    Thanks ladies.

Unfortunately Blooming marvellous have shut up shop because they've just been bought by Mothercare.

I looked at Next but sadly they don't seem to have many summery/wedding guest type outfits at the minute in the maternity section.

So, I called Tiffany Rose and asked their advice. They were actually pretty good and advised me on the most supportive dresses and the ones which would have more room in the bust area. A lot of their dresses have a stretch fabric so they explained these would be best if I wanted the dress to work for all the weddings I have booked which range from when I'm 25-35 weeks! So lots of growing time!

I've ordered 3 dresses from them in varying sizes and they said its fine to return whichever I don't want so that's good - although my credit card is going to look hideous for a week or two!

Fingers crossed one of them works and they can refund me asap on the others!
Will report back on any I find which are good in case anyone else is also struggling.

    Hi

For a larger bust they suggested anything with a cross over v neck or the boned strapless dresses, not the material only ones though.

So...they specifically mentioned Grace, Savona, Bluebell, Grecian and Sangria dresses.

I also looked at some of the ones Holly Willoughby had worn as she is quite busty too.

The boned strapless ones are beautiful but more formal and also more expensive. I am usually a size 12 and they suggested I go for size 3 (12-14) due to my bust.

    Hope this helps!

I ordered these 3 to give me some choice:

Have you tried Isabella Oliver? I have a couple of wrap dresses from there and they are so comfy and very flattering and as they are wrap you can wera a top underneath so you don't feel exposed. Ben Fogles wife wore one to the royal wedding and that's good enough for me!

I wore the indigo ruffle wrap dress to a wedding on saturday and gots lots of compliments xxx

I also found this one from mama-licious:

Its only ??32 and fits quite nice although ironically a bit big around the back - still there's room to grow!

    Hi Wispa,

Well all 4 dresses arrived today!! Can't believe how fast the delivery was!

The flutter dress (black one) was a no no as the lady had told me - even though I ordered it in a size too big just to try (14-16). It is a stunning dress but little room up top and no stretch to the material so less likely to grow with you.

The Grace dress was a good fit but the colour in reality is quite brown under the lace so not ideal for me. Good choice for larger bust though and had lots of stetch and was cute over the bump.
The lace does feel delicate so would need to be careful when wearing it.
The neckline was fairly low too so would need a discrete bra underneath. But they do it in chocolate and gold or black too which I suspect are nicer colours in person.

By far the best fit was the Watercolour dress (white and blue above) so I'm keeping that one. It kicks out nicely at the bottom and gave a more flattering shape and slightly more room on the bust than even the Grace dress. I felt actually pretty in this one and not like a heffer!

I'm keeping the mam-licious one for my mate's hen do too as it was a bargain at ??32.

Very chuffed overall and impressed with Tiffany Rose customer service and prompt delivery. Recommend giving them a call if you have a query on sizing or colurs to suit.

My advice for a larger bust is to go with something of the same shape as the Watercolour dress or grace dress. Definitely avoid the Oyster style!

    Hi MummyA,

I am usually a 12 but because of my bust I opted for 12-14.
As my chest has grown so much I've tended to buy 12-14s in most of my maternity clothes but was a smaller 12 before.

It fits really well but there is a little extra room in the small of my back. I think this will be vital growing room though as my bump gets bigger.

Its more fitted on the hips and thighs and a loose batwing style on the top half.

Very comfortable as its a nice stretchy material. Its not so formal but I will probably dress it up with posh shoes and jewellery.

    Hope this helps!

Glad you found something hun! I have a wedding in June and one in July. That dress is so so pretty but I'm going to be honest and say its a little steep for me considering this is my last bubs. My boobs are modest and don't go above a D/DD when preg so I think I'm going to wing it with a normal maxi dress a size or 2 up, tried some on the other day and they felt so comfy on bump but going to give myself another 3 weeks or so growing time yet lol!

    I'm not sure about shoes.
I have some white/ivory shoes so will probably wear those but they're not an ideal match - still its short so the material isn't right against the shoes.

Might look around and see if I spot any shoes on sale just in case though.
