Last night, i was in bed and there was a gush of odourless clear liquid which run down my leg. Later i went to the toilet and managed to collect some of the fluid to show my husband. It was very light in colour and didnt smell much except maybe slightly sweet (sorry tmi!). Anyway i ended up going to the hospital to be monitored and the mw wasnt convinced it was my waters and said it may be cm! but did say if it was, it may have resealed itself as when she examined me there was no evidence. I have to go back tomorrow. Was it my waters? Im sure i didnt wet myself!

Well, I spent yesterday and today being monitored at the hospital and they still dont know whether my waters did actually leak. I had an ultrasound and they determined that there is enough fluid (apparently there is more than there should be), the placenta is very healthy and the baby is fine.

They have now decided to just let nature take its course - hopefully its very soon!

    Hi, gatecrashing from baby.

This sounds like what happened to me. I was sure it was my waters that had broken and went to hosp to be checked. They said there was some fluid so it probably was but as no contractions etc I would be safe enough for a couple of days with monitoring and contractions would more than likely start themselves. I went in next 2 days to be checked and monitor baby. Water leaked on Wed, contractions started early Sat morning.

It wasn't until 6hrs into established labour that my lovely mw said "oh, your notes said your waters had broken but I can see a big sac of fluid. I'll just break them now " Cue definite gush of fluid.

mw " it must have been your hind waters that broke " Right up until then I didn't know there was such a thing. If it is a small leak then it's more likely to be hind waters I think.
It wasn't an issue but midwife did say that it makes contractions a bit sorer if hind waters have gone first so no wonder I was in such agony !!
Good luck, Sounds like baby may be on it's way..... S x
