We've been going swimming regularly since Isobelle was 10 weeks. Over the last 3 or 4 months she's been sick at the pool 4 times. The 1st time was due to chicken pox as she was sick more times over the next few days. But since then when she's been sick she's been perfectly fine after. After the 1st time I made sure it was over an hour in between breakfast & our 10.30 lesson. Then I pushed it to 1hr & a half. Today it was nearly 2 hours in between lunch & swimming. She does swim independently with a woggle so has a tendency to swallow a lot of water (she doesn't like me to help her if she can help it!), so I'm guessing it's possibly that rather than just the timing of food - especially as todays incident also included a few bits of carrots from last night's dinner!
Any suggestions? Thanks

As a fellow mother of a child who has a tendancy to add bodily fluids/solids to a swimming pool - you have my sympathy!
It does sound like it's more her swallowing the water rather than what or when she's eaten. Our old swimming instructor told us an hour so I've always gone by that rule.

Doesn't matter how long we leave it, A is always sick in the pool!

Luckily for me she's only done it in the actual pool once & we were very close to the side so not too much damage done I hope but then she's done it in the shower, on the way to the changing room from the shower (which was hard as she got it all over the towel she had wrapped around her) & today we were just about to leave but luckily (for others not myself), I managed to 'catch' most of it on me!! So not much hope then!!
