A is due to start very soon and it is £15.50 for a three hour session They were trying to get me down for two full days a week but we have gone for two half days for now! I am dreading the extra monthly outgoing but really would like her to go. How much does yours cost, just out of curiosity and nosiness really!!

When Zoe was at a private nursery it was £6.50 for 1.5 hrs, so tbh yours doesn't seem too far out. Don't forget that funding will kick in soon enough.

Nursery is free from age 3 12.5 hrs a week

More specifically term after they turn 3, we got stung by that one.

They're quite good with that up in Scotland JB, most areas start them the week after their birthday rather than the term
We only really have playgroups up here which are around a fiver a session I think. Pre school tends to just be for when they get their funding

Here its the day after 3...
Our playgroup is £3 for 2 hours

That will definitely help and we have her provisionally booked in her funded sessions. She has only just turned two though and won't start funded sessions until September 2014! They recommended she starts there this September, she will only be 2 years 3 months so quite young but I think she's ready for it and will enjoy it. I'm a bit nervous about it though! We have a taster session next week to drop in for an hour or so and see how it goes...

I know, paisley one was a fiver but cheaper here. Still adds up though but worth it for the peace :-)

Ours is £4 ph.

Ben starts in September and his is £11.25 per 3 hour session.

Our Playgroup was £3.50 for 2.5 hrs with snack.
Ally, Logan was 3 in March but his funding doesn't kick in until August. I payed for his preschool from November-June, £18 for 0900-1500. Still a bargain, though I e heard next term it's £22.
It's only the week after they turn 3 if their birthday is before the end of January, the maximum time they get is 2 full school years.

I know that :-)

Ours is a private nursery. A short day (7.5 hours) is £44.50 if not funded! Think 3 hour session is £24 or something but includes lunch

We'll be keeping Isla at nursery til she goes to school. We pay almost £25 for five hours 8-1. That includes breakfast, snack at 10am and cooked lunch.
03/07/2013 at 08:45
£4.20 an hour.

At age 2 Eleni's was £6 an hour. When they turn 3 it goes to £5 an hour but she gets 15 hours funded a week the term after turning three.

The playgroup where E goes Is part of the surestart scheme, and it costs us £8 for 4 hours, if she wants to stop for lunch for an extra hour then it's another £2, but we provide her with a packed lunch. She gets a snack included, and E usually makes the most of it and eats quite a bit.
