Totally cant remember how much stuff I needed with Miss CV! So, for basics like vests, sleepsuits and muslins, how much of each would you recommend getting in?
I'm thinking a 7pack of vests in each size to start me off, but fairly sure I'll need more, wont I?
Sleepsuits - would 7-10 for very early days be enough? I like newborns in these or rompers, not fussed on proper 'clothes'. And then 5-7 when we start wearing outfits? Actually I'd still need more, wouldnt I? To cover leaks / spit-ups during night feeds?
I have 5 giant muslins and 6 regular size - do I need more?? I am hoping to swaddle with the giant ones but also have 1 grobag swaddling blanket.
Thanks in advance!

What you've listed sounds about right, until you know the size of the baby, then I'd buy more! Personally I'd get more small Muslins, we get through loads!

We started off with 12 Newborn babygrows and vests. That was about right for me, as I did a load of baby washing every 2-3 days. You would get away with less if you wanted to throw them in with your clohes though. In the next sizes, we have about the same in vests and babygrows - however we also do lots of travelling and so we can't always wash for say a week, again less would work fine..
We started with 12 muslins, and since I've bought another 6, moreso because I wanted to replace the greying white ones, but also because again when we travel and when she has been ill we get through them a lot.
Outfit wise, I didn't buy any personally but as gifts we had about 10 in each of the first 2 sizes ranging from dresses to leggings sets - they were a real pain haha. In the older 3-6+ sizes we've a lot more outfits as I tend to get her dressed now, wheras before i'd get her changed only when dirty - which was 2-3 times a day but not necessarily for the day / for bed etc just as required.
I'd also recommend 2-3 cardigans in each size in varying thicknesses.
All of the above said, E isn't sicky, but she is dribbly and won't tolerate a bib so I tend to buy 2 tops for each pair of legging too.

I think what you've got sounds fine, you can always buy more once you know how big baby is and you'll also get lots of clothes as gifts. I wasn't/isn't a sicky baby though and one outfit would last him all day.

We have 8 babygrows and the same number if vests, also loads of rompers but it's not quite warm enough for shorts yet. But he's already in 3-6 months so loads of clothes we were bought wont go near him! I need to dig out Sammy's 3-6 stuff. I also prefer newborns to wear babygrows to proper clothes.
I have about 8 muslins I think

I've got 36 muslins! I then only wash when I have a decent amount to go in the machine, I get through loads as I struggle to keep us both dry when feeding her.
With #2 we only got a couple of outfits, so much less than #1.

That's really helpful, thanks all.
I am loving the patterned muslins this time round, so any excuse to buy a few more!
