Can anyone tell me roughly how often you see your MW? I'm hoping ill be MW led (was consultant led last time but managed to get swapped over and delivery was super fast, no pain relief etc)
I'm just starting to wonder how ill manage childcare for appointments!

take the kids with you?

I used to have to take Aaron to all of mine as I had no childcare. Was never a problem x

Haha do you not remember my son!?
I really don't fancy an argumentative 3 yr old in a hot waiting room with appointments running late.
A would be fine but don't fancy taking L, plus for scans I wouldn't want them there incase something went wrong.

lol, i think that's second child syndrome! I've asked my friend to babysit phoebe to avoid taking her to docs with me 2mo. I'm sure theres not a lot of appointments 3rd time. esp if mw led x

I'm hoping that.
Not sure if ill get the GD fasting/lucozade test again. Got that both times before but both been negative. I think it's because my dad is diabetic.
I remember that taking ages.

If your dad is diabetic then you'll get it, that's why I had to get it even though my dad has the type which I don't think is relevant!
I seen someone at 12 weeks after scan, 16 weeks, 22, 28 then 3 weekly. I've had to take both of mine a couple of times, no other choice

Forgot about booking in appt at 10 weeks!
Also, above is what I should have had but I've ended up with consultant appts in between, they're a bit crap over here at timing them well. Like i'm seeing the consultant on Friday but cos they don't want me going more than 3 weeks without being seen I had to see the MW last week too. In Paisley they always seemed to be able to time it where I just seen someone at the right time, whether it be MW or consultant

Thanks Ally, same with the type my dad has. Seems pointless.
It won't be so bad after the summer. A will be in school and I can ask nursery to have L extra if need be (they are really flexible)
S had to take this morning off, my friend can watch them for the scan on Friday and S will need to take Thurs afternoon off. Not great so far!

I've seen a mw at 6w (home visit), 16w (at children's centre), 20w (hospital and saw consultant too) and today at 28w (children's centre) next time is 34w.
I'm lucky that they've moved the antenatal clinics to the children's centres in my area, means it's so easy to take a kid as there's lots of good toys for them to play in. I was baby sitting my friend's 7mo and took her as well today.

This is what you should be offered :-

Can't remember exactly but you get less for 2nd and more babies than 1st pregnancies, unless there are problems obviously. Maybe the GTT depends on area as my mum has diabetes but I have never had a GTT in 3 pregnancies.

This Is my second pregnancy I'm 21 weeks and have seen the MW twice so far. Booking in and 16 weeks. Next appointment is 28 weeks then 32, 34,36,38 and 41 weeks
