im just wondering if anyone has some good healthy easy to prep meal / snack ideas that they are eating during pregnancy?
i find breakfast and lunch quite easy but dinner and snacking is definitely proving more challenging! I always just end up with chicken and chips for dinner and brunch bars for snacks.
Is anyone else feeling this or does anyone have good ideas for healthy meal ideas? 😁

When I was pregnant with my first, i ate literally everything. Danish pastries, cheese, so much cheese, and i put on 4 and a half stones - I was so fat!
With my second though, i knew i didn't want to get so overweight again, so i always had a bowl of cereal, snacked on mango and rasberries in coconut yogurt, i munched my way through cucumbers (i always kept loads in the fridge peeled and ready to go) nuts and dried figs, hard boiled eggs, that kind of thing.
For dinner, i ate normally - figured if i didn't fill myself with crap all day, i could have a regular dinner at night and not feel bad about it - only put on 2 stone second time round!
Don't beat yourself up, avoid daily crips, and try and eat as you would do usually. Hope this helps x

I found with my pregnancy in the early stages I was quite sick. The best way I’ve found it little and often. I have my first breakfast around 0730 which is an activia yoghurt - I tried it to try and help the constipation and I think it has helped along with a large daily glass of orange juice and plenty of water to drink. I have my second breakfast around 0930 where I usually have a piece of toast - toppings vary but usually either butter or cheese (if having cheese I put it in one half of the toast then fold in half) or my latest thing is boiled egg (with a hint of ketchup)At lunch time I have a sandwich (personal preference cheese and beetroot, but houmous and fresh tomato is really nice and healthier) usually treat myself to a bag of plain crisps too. Then I have my evening meal which varies - it literally can be anything. (Pasta is nice with a garlic yoghurt sauce, I’ve also tried a couple of slimming world recipes). I usually try to fit in some fruit somewhere either before my evening meal or after - water melon is good as it’s hydrating.
I’ve heard some women say you can still do slimming world whilst pregnant - check with your midwife first before trying any diet.
To drink I usually stick to plain cold water or hot water with a slice of fresh lemon (I slice and freexmze lemon so I always have a slice to hand - it’s great for the sickness and just generally refreshing.

I stuck to slimming world during my pregnancy and gained 2 and a half stone. I did use pregnancy as an excuse to eat cake mind you!!
Just make sensible choices but don't restrict yourself. Its the only time you can eat cake and not feel 'guilty' for it!! Enjoy pregnancy 😘

Orangecraving... I would say cut yourself some slack hun & eat what you like in the evenings if you’re eating healthy the rest of the day.
I’m struggling bad with the nausea too & very few foods seem appealing so what I’m doing is making a fruit smoothie every morning with 6 or 7 different fruits / veggies in it then chugging that (because whilst I usually like smoothies, right now they’re not appealing) & then I feel like I don’t have to worry so much about what I eat the rest of the day... I’ll have a sandwich & crisps or even had just mash potato and spaghetti o’s for dinner the other night because it’s all I could stomach! But I’ve already had my 5 a day in the smoothie so I just relax & eat whatever I can!

I agree with sw2... I ate and drank what I felt I could best have the chance of keeping down, if that was a can of sprite first thing in the morning I did it And I still lost weight... at almost 31 weeks I’ve put minimal back on. Main thing is to watch portion sizes - although I found by eating little and often it helped.

thank you so much for your replies! I read them all and tried quite a few of your suggestions. I was having a wee bit of trouble posting for a while so I wasn’t ignoring you!
