I'm almost 10 weeks and have been suffering with Hg. Been admitted to hospital twice already and the doctors have seen me most days.I have had 3 plus keytones, low blood pressure too.
I have tried 6 different sickness pills and now on ondenastron. It worked for a few days and now I have started being sick again. I can barely move or go out because of the sickness and constant nausea.
Is there anything else anyone else has tried? And worked? Really struggling. Iv been like this for 5 weeks now :( I have a little boy of almost 3 so really want to start feeling better.

Hello first of all congratulations!!
I was suffering from hg from week 6. I got given two lots of anti sickness tablets. Which didn't do anything. I was admitted on week 9 with dehydration as I hadn't kept fluids down for 2 days. And ketones were at there highest. (Only suppliments drinks I was drinking I couldn't stomach any foods or even the smells.) I had to go on fluids and also was given ondansetron 4mg. And was sent home after 2 days in hospital. I was fine all weekend. But by the Monday my sickness was back again!!! So I rang the doctor and my dose of ondansetron was increased from twice daily to four times.
Anyway long story short. I was on these until around my 22nd week..
I found ice cubes and Tip tops worked for a little.
-lucozade in freezer (as vile as lucozade is you just need to keep your energy up)
-suppliments drinks. (If your finding it hard to keep foods down you need your nutrition some how)
-Also dry foods such as rice plain chicken. Or just plain bread. As long as there's no smells I sometimes could handle it.
-also try making your own smoothies.
Hope you begin to feel better soon!! And best of luck to you :)

Sounds just like me.
I just keep waking up everyday thinking how long is this going to go on for. I can't even leave the house :(
I'm on 8mg ondenastron twice a day at the moment so will call doctor today to see if increasing might help. Did increasing yours stop your sickness?
Thank you for all the tips
I hope I can sort myself out at home as I don't like being in hospitals :(
Thank you xx

I doubt they would increase yours if your on the 8mg twice daily as 4mg 4 times daily was the highest wack they could give me, it helped for a little, every few days I was managing keeping a meal down, but little and often!
Terrible thing! Hope you won't have it for much longer! Most usually only have it until week 12 they kept telling me lol it takes the joy out of what's ment to be the happiest times of your pregnancy! But it will all be worth it in the end :)

Congratualtions first of al!
you have my sympathy I had HG both times I was pregnant. The first time was horrific as no one seemed to understand it very well and Ondanestron wasn't prescribed then.
your post sounds like I could of written It. I spent more time in hospital than I did at home..
With my youngest DD I was prescribed Ondanestron after other Medication failed. I couldn't even keep the tablets down for it to work. I was given anti sickness injections until I could build up enough of the Ondanestron orally...
I agree with Bet124 try bland/plain foods. At my worst I couldn't swallow saliva without vomiting and eventually lived on flat lemonade and ready salted crisps. Around 34 weeks I craved and could manage cheese&tom dominos pizza lol.
I stayed on medication throughout my pregnancy. Most normally improve by 14 weeks so hopefully you'll get some relief soon.
This website is really helpful so have a read.
Hope you feel better soon. Try and enjoy being pregnant I know how down this can get you. Xx
