Thank you to all of you that supported me over the weekend.
I went to see my GP, explained I was sleeping 19 hours a day, and how weak I was. It was a new GP she said she suffered the same, and could have slept a lot if she hadn't fought it and gone to work, and basically just get on with it. In sheer desperation I burst into tears and explained how I'd fallen asleep half way through drinking a cup of tea, so she gave me a sick note for a week and said I could be perfectly fine by the end of the week. As long as I can drink, she didn't care if I managed to eat or not as the baby will be fine.
I just feel so so fed up with it all :(

I've just re-read the last post, god I sound whinny. I am so thankful to have got so far with this pregnancy just frustrated at not being able to enjoy it after all this time, and feeling like a useless lump laying in bed all day feeling sick xx

Don't want to read and run but that's awful. Have you contacted any HG support groups for advice etc? My friend had HG and the support and device she had were amazing.
Can you go to another GP? I'd report to PALS regardless because you hold have got a better response than she gave.

I never suffered so can't offer any advice but I just wanted to send you a hug, you sound like you are really suffering. What a terrible response from your GP! The last thing you need when you are feeling so low and ill is someone telling you to put up with it and get on with things, a teensy bit of sympathy wouldn't have gone amiss! Agree with what IDC said and see if you can see someone else.
Also, you are not a useless lump - you are growing a baby! It affects everyone differently so try not to be too hard on yourself, use your sick week to relax and don't beat yourself up xxx

I have suffered from terrible sickness since i was 8 weeks, i have been to hospital 3 times now, i could not keep water or any food down, they put me on anti sickness drugs as i tore my stomach lining and was bringing up blood, i am almost 17 weeks and still sick on a daily basis but not as violently as before
sending you a massive hug x

Thanks for all your support. I've been on tablets (2 different types since my 10th week). They have helped a lot, as I went from keeping nothing down to only vomiting once or twice a day, but I think living on such limited calories has just made my body shut down, hence all the sleeping. I just look like a walking ghost, and although I have a bump I've actually gone down a dress size from my pre-pregnancy size. As long as the bumps ok, I'll be fine, I just needed to moan a bit, because my poor OH has enough just looking after me at the min. Thanks for listening xx
I hope you start to feel better soon neverlosehope x

That's pretty sh1tty of your gp to dismiss it like that. I hope you start to feel better, how many weeks are you now?

I've never had it but my friend suffered terribly. Was admitted to hospital at one point to go on a drip. She weighed less at nine months pregnant than before her BFP. She had her baby at 39 weeks and she was about. 6lb . She is now a lovely chubby and very healthy 13 month old.
She literally could barely eat for the whole nine months and really struggled even Keeping water down. So it shows that your baby will basically take everything it needs from you regardless .

Sorry but I think your GP sounds awful! I think if she had truly suffered, then she would be a bit more sympathetic!! I would be trying to see another GP at the practice to be honest. Hugs BLL, I really hope it does start to improve for you soon X
