    ok so he goes ladies

right ever since i got my BFP i have had a really low appetite i mean i am 26+4 today and i am 1 and half stone lighter than when i got my BFP in dec.

My OH gets mad at me as when we sit down to dinner i can only eat around 2 mouthfuls and then i feel so full if i ate anymore i would be sick. he get annoyed at me cos he is worried the baby is not getting enough vits etc from me and he wants a nice healthy baby not a "skeleton baby" as he called it.

so yesterday i tried my hardest to eat

    breakfast 1 piece of toast
    snack a yogurt
    lunch 4 cheese and crakers
dinner OH treated me to chinese to see if i could eat it well i ate about half a plate

i then felt terrible and was in bed around 9:30 not to wake up at 2:30 (TMI ALERT) to be sick and have the squits the last 3 times i have tried to eat more in the day this happends at night i am not sure what to do for the best any help would be great thanks ladies.

has anyone else been through this type of thing? i just dont know what to do for the best

i just dont want to cause harm to my baby but i dont know what to do

Hi there - have you spoken to your midwife about this? Are you taking a vitamin supplement and keeping your fluid intake up? I'm sure baby will be getting all that it needs. My appetite is not what it was pre-pregnancy and I have days where I really have to force dinner down and others where I scoff the lot! I think the key is little and often - just keep snacking through the day if you can. I pack it in at lunchtime when I seem to be able to eat more. I also have a mug of milk Ovaltine at bedtime so I know I'm getting lots of calcium etc, and I have a couple of biscuits too.
I'm 23+3 and have only put about 4-6lbs on, having lost half a stone in the first 12 wks.
I really feel for you - I hope you start to feel a bit brighter soon. Let us know how you get on.

I think you probably need to make an appointment to see your midwife and talk to them about it and get some firm medical advice x

Sorry I've not been through this but did not want to r & r.

Just wanted to say that your mw would be concerned if she felt you were not eating enough for the baby. Also from what I've always been told the baby takes what it needs and it is generally you that suffers from lack of vitiams etc.

If you are really concerned about the lack of the vitiams then take some pregnancy ones.

I would try not to worry too much as long as you arfe eating something and you are having enough fluids.

    Hope you feel better soon.

    G/C from due in may

Hi i lost a stone and a half was being sick all the time and hardly eating, i just couldn't! Baby is all the right measurements and growing well, this happened to me when i had my daughter 6 years ago too. The baby will take what it needs from you, as long as your eating healthily you will be fine. now i'm 37 +4 and all i want to eat is bacon sandwiches! Try not to let it stress you out xxx

Hey hun, has your mw measured you? I know my mum was losing loads of weight when pg with my brother, but they were never worried for the baby as he was still in the average growing chart. By all means mention it to the mw as it will put yours and your husband's mind at ease. I'm sure you'll have a healthy little one

Hi hon, g/c to hopefully put your mind at rest a bit!

Baby will take everything he/she needs from you nutrition-wise, then you will get what is left!! Baby will not suffer if you are not up to 'eating for two'. You would have to be seriously malnourished before the baby begins to suffer.

Just as an example, a pregnant mother will become seriously anaemic before the baby goes without one iota of the iron they need!

I think you should aim to eat light, nutritious meals, as obviously force-feeding yourself Chinese hasn't worked out for you! I would think it's much better for you to eat small amounts of what you fancy, when you fancy it - you'll end up doing yourself far more damage getting sick with the squits!

Def take some pregnancy vitamin pills though! And maybe talk it through with your mw?

I am like this when i am pregnant. With my first baby i lost 3 1/2 stone and she was 8lb born! My midwife told me not to worry because the baby always takes what it needs first!

Try nt to worry about it.
